Question about Rheem Water Heaters
If you have electric heater, bottom element might be burned out, or a thermostat is bad.
I wrote a troubleshoot page for electric:
If your tank is gas, run some hot water and see if burner turns on. See if flame is light blue, or if it's burning yellow. If flame is yellow, the gas valve or burner might be bad. If burner does not stay ON very long, the thermostat attached to gas valve might be bad. Replace gas valve. If the flame is blue and the burner turns on, the tank could be filled with sediment, and it's time to clean it out or buy another tank.
