Question about Computers & Internet
By a hard reset I take it you want to reset the bios, there are jumpers inside later pc's that allow you to do this or you can do the short cut and remove the power lead and open the case and find the cmos battery, remove it and short the positive and negative points in the battery cradle, use something conductive, I have used a small screwdriver to achieve this, contact must be made between the two points for at least 4 seconds, the reconnect the power and restart, you will then have to go into the cmos setup by pressing the delete key or you may have to press one of the following keys to get you into the cmos F1 F2 delete key escape key or f10
when in the cmos you will have to fix the date and the boot order so the hard drive starts first or the cd/dvd rom, I really hope this helps,
PS dont forget to earth your self by touching the metal casing of the pc, or buy a wrist static strap
either way be careful when working in and around the case
