I downloaded everything on my

I downloaded everything on my computer to SimpleTech external hard drive - so as to restore my laptop computer.

In trying to put everything back onto my computer I seem to have lost almost everything. A Dell technician was able (after 2 1/2 hours) to retore my photos, but none of my correspondence, recipies or embroidery programs - huge files).

Then, Dell restored my computer again - now I cannot find even my pictures. I feel they must be on my SimpleTech drive somewhere - seems I have 18,000 files on it, but I sure cannot find them! HELP
