Is Windows coming up, or no? If Windows loads up, go to System Restore, and see if there is a restore point set before you were having problems. (Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System Restore {Top left side} > Restore my computer to an earlier time) If Windows is not loading up, do you have the Restoration (CD) Disk? (System Restore disk, Restore disk, same/same)

Look for RESET button switch inside of your computer then short it by using screw driver or any metal that can short the switch.

Want video driver for e machine t6216

I went and searched the model of your computer on the emachines website and found the VGA driver for your machine. Here is the link for the video driver download.

http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_NVIDIA_8.1.3.3_XPx86_A.zip?acerid=633909232477072708&Step1=Desktop&Step2=T%20Series&Step3=T6216&OS=X01&LC=en&BC=eMachines&SC=PA_6E

Download the file and then install it. After you do this restart your machine to confirm the installation.

Emachine T6216 onboard video is shot (nothing on known good monitor) Have installed new PCI-Ex16 graphics care. Need to disable onboard video. Is there a jumper on motherboard?

Have you tried entering BIOS? I beliveve that you have to press and hold F1 during boot to enter BIOS. Once in there you should be able to disable onboard video card.

The cd drive in my emachines t6216 doesnt work

first open the case and check if the power connector ,and other cables are still connected to the drive. if they are there disconnect the power cable ( while the computer is running and Plug and Play should notice it). then run add new hardware app to see if the system did recognize it, then check the device manager if its there. reinstall the drivers for the burner drive and run program ,and see if it runs ok, if not the drive is bad and will need to be replaced.

I would still recommend calling emachines support to send you a replacement. Though the one above would also work just fine. Have a great day :)

T6216 CAN'T USE CD BURNER ERROR MESSAGES INDICATES NO CD DRIVE

Sounds like your CD drive is gone. Try inserting a program cd and see if it reads it. You can also switch the cable attached to the cd drive. Make sure you get a power light on the cd drive when you start the PC, if not you can try a different power connector from the power supply. Hope this helps.
