The unit is running and everything seems to be working, compressor is warm, lower fan is working, yet the unit is not cooling. I switched unit off for a couple of hours, switch back on and she starts to cool. After about 2 days the same thing occurs, no cool air coming in. What's the problem

Ck for ice build up on the coild coil in the freezer . if iced then no air flow . very common .. if ice is found look for a bad defrost termnator and heater . or both .. hope this helps mm

Evaporator may b toast. Condensor coils cud b dirty. If theres a steady throb probly ok. Gettn it fixd can cost as much as good used one. Unplug it for awhile n see if it reboots
check the condenser fan in the lower back to make sure its running,if it quits the compressor will cycle on and off to cool itself instead of the fan doing this operation,and the unit will warm up inside,then the compressor will again restart and any condensation in the unit will refreeze and cause frost
the condenser fan will start as soon as the compressor turns on( that is the outside unit)
the inside fan will run regardless if the compressor is running or not
Hi, The way you described the problem, I would be looking for a refrigerant leak... I think that it was low on charge and now it is so low that it will not cool at all...
Have a tech. find/fix the leak and recharge the unit...
On some refrigerators there is a device which warms this area to prevent condensation as the cool air escapes from the compartments. you may have an energy mizer (or simular name) switch on the control panel. If found turn it off to see if this area cools. Temp should be warm to touch, but not hot. This only needs to run in the warm humid months, but is usually left on all year. If there is no switch, it is probably just the mizer, but if manual is available, best to check. No manual, most manufacturers have one available at their website.
t seems like there is a problem with the thermosat, or the compressor. Its not sensing the temperature being to warm to kick the compressor on and cool it down. OR the compressor itself id dead. Hope I could help.
Could be stuck in "defrost" mode. Happens a lot. See if you can hear if the compressor is running or the compressor cooling fan is running (in back underneath the unit). Worse case is the refrigerant leaked out and you have a sealed system problem.
