Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

I purchased a nordic microwave popcorn maker and misplaced the directions for making the popcorn. I need to know how much popcorn to put in the bowl and amount of oil if any is to be used. I would greatly appreciate this information, because as it is right now I cannot use the popcorn maker. Thank you for your time - will wait for your reply. Deborah Schmitt

The Nordicware Popcorn Popper is one that actually works in the microwave. The 3-Qt. Popper makes light and fluffy popcorn in about 4 minutes. Just place 1/2-cup of popcorn kernels in the bottom bowl and cover with the lid. No oil needed, makes up to 12 cups of popped corn. Good luck Richard

I recently purchased a 2lb bread maker. But cannot find the manual or recipe book so I can use it. I brought it from QVC. Can you tell me where I can get this information. I would love to start using...

If you want to use the bread machine immediatly, boxed bread mixes from grocery stores will have generic instructions on the back of the box that can be used universally by most bread making machines. However, if you are wanting the manual and recipies to the particular machine, sometimes the place you purchased it from will allow you to photocopy one from a new one on the shelf. You would need your receipt to prove the purchase. Google Search is also an excellent way to download copies. The contact information on the box will too. In the meanwhile, if you want to make perfect bread follow this recipe BUT>>>do not use the machine for this recipe, use a large bowl to raise the dough.
4 large bread loaf pans, lightly greased with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil each. Set aside

4-6 cups+ flour
1/3 cup evaporated milk
3 2/3 cups water
1/4 cup active dry yeast
1/4 cup salad oil
1/8 cup table salt
1/6 cup sugar

Put the water and evaporated milk in a glass bowl and microwave to 120*~about 2 minutes. It should feel very warm to the touch but not as hot as a cup of hot coffee.
while microwaving, take a second very large bowl (big enough to hold a family size bag of chips)
put the salad oil, sugar, salt and yeast in and stir till mixed.
Add the very warm but NOT extremely hot milk water to the dry mixture. Use a swizzer to mix. Start adding the flour till very thick. Take swizzer out and add more flour gradually until it can't absorb more and is no longer sticking to the sides of the bowl. Shake more flour on a clean counter top and work the dough 3 minutes until smooth and not sticking to the counter. Place dough in another very large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, place in a warm area such as the vent area of a 225* oven to rise. Punch down after double in size (about 30 minutes). Divide into 4 equal portions. Shape and place in pans. Rise 15 more minutes. Heat oven to 375* bake till golden brown on top and a finger tapping sounds hollow.
Wrap in plastic wrap when cooled slightly to keep moist. Refrigerate loaves to keep longer.

This recipe can be used for cinnamon rolls, clover leaf buns, pizza bread sticks or all 4 if you divide it up! Enjoy....I'm also a competition baker!

My Beaumark popcorn maker isn't working! I have the type that is a large domed electric pan, with a metal 'stick' that goes around to move the kernels (presumably to stop them from sticking?)....

your problem is in the instructions.. you need to make it a little hot, means run it on empty for a few min. stop the machine, and add 2 tablespoosn of veg. oil your fav. oil, not olive. add enough pop corn to fill the inner circle surface of the bottem plate, then run it again until the bowl is full.. maybe 5 min. You should have perfect bowl full of pop corn.
enjoy :-)

I have purchased a homemaker rice cooker (5 cup) from Kmart. the owners manual does not tell me how much water to put in for the cooking process.

I think it's the lines on the side of the bowl. For one cup of rice, fill the water up to the first line (with the rice in the bowl), and so on.

What is the ratio of yogurt culture to milk to make yogurt? I have misplaced the instructions to the euro cuisine yogurt maker.

Usually only a very little culture is needed to be added to milk to obtain good yogurt. But if you can add 100ml to one litre milk , it will be fine.

I have an Amana above range Radarange, Model #AMV4204AAB, Serial # 10168958GE. Tonight after running for a 7 minute period and finishing, it would not again start. There is power to it, but various...

Hi,
  1. Push the power cord all the way into the outlet in case it became loose and is causing the problem. If the microwave still isn't working, check for a blown circuit fuse, and repair it.
  2. Step 2 Check that the controls on the microwave are programmed correctly according to the owner's manual. If they aren't, program them.
  3. Step 3 Close the microwave door firmly. Touch the cook function on the Start Pad, not the timer. Check if the microwave works. If not, continue to step 4.
  4. Step 4 Program the Power Level correctly. If it's not programmed properly, the microwave will cook the food too quickly or too slowly.
  5. Step 5 Use only microwave safe dishes. Make sure food is evenly shaped and defrosted before placing it in the Amana Radarange microwave.
Thanks.

I just registered a new vacumn and inadvertently put place of purchase as Home Depot. I got the product at Walmat. What do you wnat me to do.

It really doesn't matter that you put the wrong store on the registration. You don't even need to register a product as long as you keep your sales receipt to prove the purchase date. Registering just provides a record for the product maker and they use the information for marketing. I'd suggest making sure you keep the receipt somewhere so you'll be able to find it easily if warranty service is ever needed. (I keep receipts and manuals together in a file cabinet along with other papers.)

Rainbow Vacs Will other D4 water bowls fit a D4A

Yes, but just the D4 variety, not D2,D3, or E

The main thing to remember about this great vacuum you have is to always dry out the bowl or at the very least keep the bowl separate from the vacuum (top). The D4 motor was and still is the biggest and best motor EVER put in a vacuum, but if you let the moisture sit on this motor by not drying the bowl then what will happen is the spring loaded carbon brushes that make contact with the motors armature will ever so slightly 'stick to the armature. Then when you go to turn the vacuum on the motor will not even have the needed chance to begin it's rotation.Electricity in a motor has to move it's counterparts or it will instantly short circuit. Now believe it or not, as powerful as this motor is, if it can't move it will short. Ironically, you can do one thing ritualistically each and every time you use you Rainbow so that what I just described will never happen:
Under the top part f the vacuum you will see a pot pie shaped thing with a nut in the center. This is the heart of the Rainbow and it is called the separator. Very simply grab it and give it a spin. That's it! Now you have done the one and only thing to be sure the motor is not going to stick. Yep it was that simple, but if I didn't explain it's importance you would never know why they quit making this great vacuum and instead make the latest and supposedly greatest 'brushless' model E2. Stupid in my opinion. All they had to do was put a message on the top somewhere saying, " Before operating, unplug 110V plug, flip top and spin separator by hand to be sure it is free"

I have misplaced the directions for the Bissell powersteamer powerbrush. I need the directions for filling the u tank etc.

Release the handle and lay the machine handle
back to access the Tank.
2. Remove the Tank from the base of the machine by
lifting the Tank carry Handle.
3. Carry like a bucket to the sink. Rotate the Handle
forward to unlatch the lid. Lift off and set the lid aside.
4. Fill up the Bladder with clean hot tap water.
*Do not boil or microwave water as it can
destroy the Bladder.
5.
Replace the top of the Tank by matching the lid
and tank edges. Handle must be in the forward
position in order to replace lid. Rotate the handle
to the carrying position to latch the lid.
Note: Remember to secure the lid and test to
make sure it is secure before picking up the Tank.
6.
Place tank into machine base, seating firmly in place.
Rotate tank handle back into latched position. Bring
machine handle back into upright position.

1.
Lift the formula Tank up and out of the machine base.
2. To fill the Formula Tank, first unscrew the Cap
and Insert. Always use genuine BISSELL formulas
to maximize cleaning and for the safety of your
machine. Fill formula up to the line and replace the
Cap and Insert. Place Formula Tank back into the
base of machine, making sure it is seated securely.
Note: If bottle leaks, check for proper positioning
of red gromment and straw.
