I have a Dell Dim 2400 and no connection with HP Deskjet 3070A.

Charles, has this combination worked previously, have you been able to print from your Dell Dimension 2400 to your HP Deskjet 3070A successfully?

If the answer to the above is Yes, then if you believe that the printer is still working correctly and you can test this with a different computer able to print to it, you should consider uninstalling and re-installing the HP software and device drivers for this printer.

If you have not printed to this printer successfully previously, have you tested the printer with a different computer and proven it is still working fine?

If the printer works fine to a different computer then providing you are using the same USB cable to connect to your Dell 2400, the problem needs to be narrowed down further.

Check that you can plus other USB devices into the port on the Dell used for the HP printer - if these work, then your USB port is good - if not, try another port if you have one.

If your USB hardware is good, then again you are left with the need to uninstall and re-install the HP software and device drivers - it may be worth trying to download the latest version of such software if available. HP tend to update their All-in-One software on a regular basis.

Hp 1401 all in one will scan and print but will not print from computer command

check out the port u r using to print, follow the setup instructions to select the correct printer port.... if not, go to:
- Start - Control panel - printers - right click the printer u need - properties - ports..... check if it's on LPT1 or other and the printer is USB connected - try the diferent USB001, etc to find the correct port........

If this doesn't work: check out if printer is "use printer offline" and turn it online or paused....

If all this does not fix ur problem try chanching the usb cable.....

I can't scan anything on my HP PHOTOSMART C4345 All-In-One

Try this: Power down the computer and printer, connect the usb to a different usb port. Reboot. The Mac should register the changed location.
The older apples used to be very sensitive to port selection and peripherials serviced. Perhaps they still are.

Go to this link above, there you will find drivers for your printer and Vista. After removing your old printer drivers (all that are in your computer now) disconnect your printer from you computer until you are instructed to connect. Then download these three things from the link page above...One the drivers, and two updates, one enhances net and USB connections and the other update corrects connection problems between your computer and the print.
That should surely help, good luck

USB Not Connected

first..check through the HP icon here, to see if that printer has a IMAC driver

that might get you there...I'm sure that the USB ports on your IMAC are working..

you can check them with some other device, of course.
