Try a new needle, make sure that the flat side faces the rear of the machine. Hope that is the problem, or you may have to take it in for service for the timing. Good luck

Thread not picking up the bottom thread

Remove the top thread from the machine.
Install a brand new needle.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top thread!

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, then the machine may be out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.
Make sure the top tension is set appropriately--the default is the midway point and then tweak it for your particular machine.

My brother pe150 embroidery machine does not pick up bottom thread and wont sew

try changing the needle
rethread the machine--use every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is not warped
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly in the case
it's very possible that the timing of the machine is off & the machine would need to be checked at a sewing machine shop

My needle wont pick up the bobbin thread

Hi. The most likely cause is that your needle is inserted backwards. There is a flat side on the shank of the needle and this flat side has to go in facing a specific direction (usually away from you, toward the rear of the machine) so that the needle can form a loop with the top thread to pick up the bottom thread. Some machines, especially older ones, require that the flat side be inserted facing right, or facing left (I have one of each), but in my experience most modern machines need the flat side of the needle shank facing away from you.

Sometimes, if the needle is in correctly for your machine (check your manual to be certain) and still isn't picking up the bobbin thread, the needle could be bent.

Check these out, and let me know if they solve your problem, ok?

Top thread doesn't pick up the bobbin thread (Toyota sewing m.)

Hi! This may sound silly, but if you changed your needle and put it in backwards (which is easy to do), the top thread won't pick up the bottom thread. Take your needle out and check the flat side of the needle shank--which way is it facing? With a lot of the newer machines, the flat side goes to the back, but check your manual to make sure.

Let me know if this helps, ok?

Wont pick up bobbin thread

Are you certain that the needle is in correctly? If it opens at the front the flat side of the needle should be facing the back. If it opens on the left hand side then the flat part of the needle should be facing into the body of the machine. If top and bottom are threaded correctly and the needle is in properly and fully in position it should pick up. If it doesnt then you "could" have a timing fault.
