Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have an HP 7410 All-In-One printer. In the HP Solutions Center for this printer I only get four options - Transfer Images, Send a Fax, Make Copies, and Settings - I don't get a Scan option. I did previously, but after uninstalling and re-installing the printer driver and software during a PC upgrade it went away. I have tried uninstalling it a dozen times, and it will not reappear.

How to Delete a Fax Log History on an HP????

The HP printers come with the HP Solution Center software. The software allows you to adjust settings, transfer images, send a fax and make copies right from the control center instead of using the printer control panel. When you make a fax, receive a fax or block faxes, a log is kept in the HP Solution Center. You can use the software to view faxes and delete a fax log history.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions

    • 1 Open the HP Solution Center by clicking the "Start" button. Navigate the mouse to "Programs" and click on "HP" to open the drop-down box. Click on "HP Solution Center." If you have the "HP Solution Center" icon on the desktop, you can click the icon to open the software.
    • 2 Click on "Settings." A drop-down box will open up. Click "Fax Settings and Setup," which will open another drop-down box. Click "Fax Log," which will open the fax log window.
    • 3 Read the "Sent Log," which is the first tab on the window. The information will tell you the date, duration of the fax, name of the fax, fax number, how many pages and the status.
    • 4 Click on the first fax in the log to highlight it. Click "Delete" at the bottom of the window to delete the fax. Continue this step for each fax until every fax you want deleted is gone.
    • 5 Click on "Received Log" and delete each fax. Click on "Blocked Faxes" and perform the steps again to delete each of the faxes in this log that you want to delete.

I need a OfficeJet 7410 installation CD because my HP Director software no longer shows any scanning options in the opening screen. Can't use scanner from PC. Thanks, John

HP has now changed the HP Director to HP Solution Center with extra features. Downloading the latest software will help you install the new HP solution Center.

You have not mentioned the PC operating system like Win XP, Vista, Win 7.

HP Office Jet 7410 printer copies, fax are black


If you make a copy and it is black, either the ccd (reader is bad or the lamp is out) either is the end. Take it back to staples if you can.
Make sure you unplug it for about 1 hour and plug back in and try a copy.

I have to order a thing from the dsl to block the noise. I'll let you know what happens, Thanks for the hp booklet on line. I had some other things wrong and it really helped me.

Whizzzzzing sound and will not send fax.


The problem is the power supply try to plug to different outlet and then send a fax if it fails then its a power supply fault please change it.............

Check to make sure all the phones attached to that phone number are on the hook.. sometimes an answering machine can create a problem also.. if you really want to check the printer / fax machine out, just remove all the phones that exist on that phone line and leave the fax machine connected. once all the phones have been removed and the 7410 is still acting up, you might have a bad fax card in the printer.

Send fax using pc


Please perform the following steps to fax from PC.

Click windows-->Programs-->HP-->HP Solution Center

Clik on Send Fax and provide the number of the fax to be sent and proceed with the steps to resolve the issue.

Every application has the option of sending fax from the File Menu---> Print-->Select the Fax icon and click on Ok.

1.open the HP Director/Solution Center 2.click on scan menu and go to destination list tab 3. on the left side u will find a list of available destinations , move them all to the right side (front panel destination list) and save and then try to scan again , IT MAY WORK
