Ive lost all my windows media player and all that comes with it, how can i get it back when it will only let me restore it back to the 26/9/2011

Hi jeffqartell,
"Create your "Own" System Restore {Date}.
Go back to "System Restore," and 'choose' to "Go back further than 26/9/2011!"
You can "Create a date by giving it a Restore Point "Date."
e.g. 1/9/2011 etc; with a "Restore Point" reference.
e.g. Disabled, or Deleted "Windows Media Player."
Try this several times if necessary, until it accept, the Restore Point Date!
This will fix the problem, thanks, and best regards!

Missing file or corrupt windowssystem32 hal dll how to fix if I can't fix it can I do a full system restore with an xp disk and driver disk from another computer?

You can put in your Windows disk and boot PC from the disk drive and then select to repair, this will not format your PC and will replace your hal.dll file. fixing windows and keeping your personal files.

Usually this works, but if it can't fix the problem it will tell you then give you a format option, at that point turn off the PC, take out the hard dive, hook it up to another pc as a slave or external drive to back up your files, then put the thing back in your pc and format.

but try to use the repair option of your windows disk. there is hardly ever an actual reason for people to format

I have a Hannspree 25 lcd monitor and I can't get rid of the "input signal out of range" box in the middle of the screen

the monitor is not properly connected to the back of the PC box, check the cable that goes from the monitor to the PC box, (first unplug the PC/monitors from the power socket)
check if the cable is loose from the monitor jack point on the back of the PC box, remove it and blow air in it may be some dust is there.
fix it back and tighten the two screwes with a screw driver.
power it back ON

Cant go back to created restore point

your pc probably automatically creates restore points and there is a limit on the space they can take so it automatically starts to remove the old ones.

to my experience system restore in xp was a total peace of ****
takeing up extra space and when used caused more problems than it fixed.

In my honest opinion system restore shouldnt be used.
