Go to Sony.com and input your model number where requested. There should be a list of available up to date drivers for download.

Video freezes

Hello,

Which video are you trying to view?

If it's in your internet browser like youtube then update flash player. Go to adobe.com and look for adobe flash player update.

If any video freezes, then you might have an outdated video driver or some other drivers in your computer. Updating the drivers can do the trick. To cover all drivers, install RadarSync. It will scan and update all outdated drivers.

I recently bought an Acer 5742G notebook and I keep on getting a pop-up saying my video card is not compatible with Direct3D. Can I update my video card driver? if so, how?

You should be able to update your driver for the graphics card. If you can, open the Nvidia control panel. Then, if you look around in the menu, you should see something along the lines of "Check for new update". Just click that and it should lead you along to update the driver. If you can't find the Nvidia control panel, or for some reason the "Check for update" isn't working, you can go to this link to get updated drivers for Nvidia graphics cards. They even have an auto-detect graphics card feature.

Drivers for windows 7

You should not need drivers for windows 7 as far as the camera is concerned, what you need to do is update the drivers or get updated video editing software. If you are using a analog device to input video, many times you can get the updated drivers from the company that made it.

Can't find any onboard video card driver for my computer !!

Go to systems folder in control panel then to harware tab then Device manager
look for video, should be showing up with no driver installed or as unknown.

while online right click and search for driver automaticly if asked to check online says yes always.

if doesn't help go to microsoft update and scan for updates see if driver update is available

Make sure who the video system is such as nivida/ATX etc. go to their web site and scan for driver updates.

Any one of these should fix the problem as long as video chip is working.

You can check the version or the date windows automatically installed from the device manager. You also can also use "Microsoft Updates" to update your drivers.

To remove the video drivers, go to "safemode" and from the "device manager" uninstalled the video drivers.Be sure to download the correct version for you video card and run the installer from Nvidia.

Do update your DirectX too.
