When i connect my sandisk Mp3 player e250 to my computer ..it is not showing the "music" folder .
the other folders like "photos " and "videos" are displayed .
i have few old songs ..im able to play them in my player but even they are not displayed when im connecting to computer .
Im not able to load new songs into my Mp3 player . how do i get this to work .....pls help
The folders are hidden. I had the same problem but I fixed it. This works for Windows XP but it may as well work with vista/ any other Windows operating systems

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3
Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa
players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do
not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues -
they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes,
flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.
Reset the Sansa Player first.On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer.Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced. Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website. Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the
computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull
down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor
over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow
underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary
slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything. Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware
upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in
the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have

Found New Hardware Wizard. If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version). You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods

With a desktop computer and the USB cable you can transfer music to your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player. Simply hook the USB cable up to an available USB port and begin dragging music files to the folders of your SanDisk MP3 player1 Free a USB port on your desktop computer. Now, grab the USB cable for your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player and connect the player to your computer. 2 Wait for your computer to find and recognize the player. This may take a few moments. Once you receive a confirmation message, open your computer and scan the icons for the SanDisk MP3 player. 3 Open the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player on your computer. The music files that you currently have saved to the player's memory are displayed. 4 Open a folder containing music files that is stored in your desktop computer's memory. Scan the files for songs that you want to transfer to the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player. 5 Left-click on a song file and drag to the SanDisk Sansa window. When I had the same accident this is what worked for me. I disconnected my sandisk player from my computer. After waiting until the sandisk software completed it's termination programming, I re-connected it to the computer.
Because I use Microsoft Windows XP, a window pops up asking if I want to open the device in Windows Explorer. Answering "yes" and then selecting the "Folders" from the tabs at the top of the window will display the sandisk along the left column as "Sansa e250". By double clicking on the folder labeled "PPI NAND" a drop down list of subdirectory folders should be displayed. If the folder "MUSIC" is not there, you will need to create a new folder and label it "MUSIC".
Here is how to create a new folder.
With the folder "PPI NAND" highlighted, move the cursor up to the upper right hand corner of the "Windows Explorer" window and select the tab "File". From the drop down menu select " New Folder ". This should cause a folder to appear in the window to the right of the "Sansa e250" window. The new folder should be highlighted and labeled "New Folder". Select the "New Folder" and rename it "MUSIC". When renamed, select the PPI NAND folder and the new folder "Music" should be listed as one of the folder in the subdirectory. If so, you can select it to see if the Music folder contains and music files. If not, you will need to copy or drag your files into the new "MUSIC' folder.
Once I did all of this and disconnected my sandisk player, the player and let the software complete the programming work before shutting it off, it worked fine. My original problem was caused by shutting my sandisk player off after disconnecting it from the computer before the sandisk software completed its work.
where did you get the songs from? make sure the files are in mp3 file format not in another format and make sure they are playing properly before transferring them to the player. The player can support MP3 and WMA files. IF you are sure they are mp3 format the player using USB mode and then retransfer them to the player.
There may be possible reasons why your Sansa E250 would display an message on the LCD even when you've downloaded files to it:
(1) The music file type is not supported by the player. Sansa players support only MP3 and WMA files. To determine what file type your have, right click on the file type and it should display the "properties" dialog box. Check if it is MP3 or WMA. For example, iTunes music files will not work with the player, nor will WAV or MIDI files.
(2) Your music files are supported but the bit rate is not within the range that the player supports. Sansa players support MP3 files up to 128 KBPS and WMA files up to 64 KBPS. You may need to use a 3rd party music file editor to convert the files to a supported bit rate
(3) You may have saved your music files in a folder and copied the folder to the player. Your Sansa E250 will not recognize folders. Either save them in the root directory or inside the "Music" folder -- your player's default folder for music files.

Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
