Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

I own the Siemans SL34A006UC dishwasher which had the recall repair completed. Now it doesn't work right. The unit goes through any of the cleaning choices but when it comes time to drain, the unit stops for a few seconds, swishes water for a couple seconds, stops again, then swishes for a couple seconds, stops and then goes back in to regular cleaning mode until the timer reaches zero. At each drain cycle, it does the same thing earlier mentioned 3 times in a row, then back to washing. The unit knows not to add additional water in that none was drained out. I have cleaned the main drain screen, taken our the main filter, removed the single screw for access to the propeller and it turns freely. I have checked the drain line for kinks, clogs, etc., it has been hooked up to the sink correctly for several years but cannot figure out why the unit will not drain. I have run recommended cleaners through the unit as well., but to no avail.

You say "dishwasher which had the recall repair completed." (sic) "Now it doesn't work right" (sic)
Being a professional I must advise, and that, if this is the case, then you must get the people who performed the "recall repair" to attend to the matter for free. It is their duty to put right any problems that may have been caused by the work they have performed. It is NOT co-incidence that there has been a "repair" and now you have a further problem.
What you are indicating is most likely the pressure sensor? or some other sensor, or even a "Brain" fault, but until one actually examines the machine it's hard to tell, exactly sometimes, as many symptoms are the same but with differing causes.
as related this must be attended to by the recall repairer, as most likely, either whatever they have done, has caused a problem, or what they have done, has "Stressed" "other" componentry, that should have been upgraded to cope with the recall repairs whatever they were.
Always be firm but polite and indicate exactly what you want done and why...you may get initial resistance, however persevere as you are doing the right thing for the right reasons, and you will prevail.

No power

Hello

Plug the Siemens dishwasher into a working electrical outlet if nothing on the dishwasher is operating. Check the household circuit breaker or fuse and reset or replace as needed.

Push the door closed fully if the dishwasher has power but isn't starting. The unit will not operate if the door is open.

Siemens dishwasher sl33a002uc takes 4 to 5 hours to complete a cycle - what is wrong?

Take the control board out, open it up, and resolder the heater relay or replace the control. It may be under the recall and you can get a new control replaced for free.

Why does my siemens dishwasher take 4 hours to finish running

Should only take 120 minutes to run a complete cycle. Your drain pump might not be expelling all the water.

Frigidaire dishwasher model pdl4375rfc2 serial# th80537081 door weaks aat lower right corner user less than 6 months is there a recall on this model

if unit is less than a year old . call for service 1-888-203-1389. this unit has a one yr. warranty from the manufacture. recalls are usually not given on appliances unless it is a safety issue. however i have repaired alot of these under warranty for your same complaint. their is a splash kit u can get that goes on each corner of the bottom of the inside of dishwasher that will stop it from leaking, roughly 10-20.00 dollars depending on who u purchase it from .hope this helps out.

Siemans dishwasher not draining

the water in the bottem of the machine under the mesh filter is normal. it acts as a lubricant for both motor impeller and drain propeller. if its greasy then try using only 1 tablespoon of powder soap from now on. now if the water level is ever above the mesh filter after a complete cycle, then you have a drain problem

No power for my Siemans SL84A dishwasher

Not a solution but a cause for my DW having the same problem. One of the four wires going to the On/Off switch shorted and burned. I never lost power to the unit, as far as I know there is no reset button of fuse. I rewired the unit and ran several washes without overheating or shorting.
