Question about HP Mini 1000 Netbook
That is known as "The Blue Screen of Death" and is a real problem.
It is usually caused by an update problem, cut off half way through updating, or a corrupt boot ini file.
As the notenook is trying to boot up, press F8, its timing is a bit tricky and it will take several attempts, a "DOS" menu will appear. Choose "Safe Mode"
The notebook will have the ability to try and replace the faulty file. When it has loaded, Back Up your Data! then click to close it down.
See if it boots normally, if it does, you are lucky! Now is the time to run CHKDSK/F to try and iron out any hard drive problems.
Hope that helps.
