Thanks for the help but I just keep getting the menu with the options Safe Mode; Safe Mode with Networking; Safe Mode with Command prompt; Enable Boot Logging; Last Known Good Configuration(your most recent settings that worked); Directory Services Restore Mode(Windows domain controllers only); Debugging Mode; Disable automatic restart on system failure; Start Windows normally; Reboot; Return to OS Choices Menu. Which ever choices I choose it just goes back to the same menu and also says that Windows can not start normally cause there might be recent changes with the software or hardware. This laptop is brand new. The other day I accidently dropped my laptop to the floor on my truck and I wanna say that it wasn't a hard fall, so now I am having trouble with the laptop to start normally. Can u please help me out some more, thank you!!!!

Looks like a fixya consultant has already provided you some inputs but I cannot see these.

If there has been a drop then anything could have happened to the laptop.

Please clarify which windows software are you running, eg. XP, Vista or 7 etc?

One possible cause of the messages you are getting is the pc is unable to boot from the hard drive due to some minor damage.

Try to boot from the CD instead. For this you will need either a windows system CD or the Recovery CD that you may have created or received with the laptop.

If you have these, then go to the bios boot sequence when you power on the laptop. You will have to press one of the F keys on the top row. The screen will tell you which one as soon as you power on. Once in the boot sequence menu, select CD as the first boot device.
Put the CD in and power off. Turn power back on and try to see how far the windows boots up. If it goes into repair mode, then the hard drive has some problem. you can let it repair and follow the prompts. Only risk is that you may loose all or some of the data on the disk.

Post a comment to confirm which way it goes.

You have a boot error.
Start up your laptop and press F8 as it leaves the Bios Mode, when it asks you about boot information. That will get you into startup mode with the chance of restoring your system.
Follow the prompts as it will lead you into drive "D" where the rescue data is.
In my experience, it is an excellent recovery system and doesn't, unless you have severe hard drive problems, wipe all of your data.
Hpe this helps.

Now I know the laptop has been dropped, strip it down and check for DVD drive/Memory/Hard drive socket damage. Obviously there is no warranty on this item so if it is not resolved does your comprehensive insurance offer any assistance?
If it does, remove your hard drive before you part with it for a replacement. The data on there is your data!
    Hope you resolve this quickly.

HOW can desktop be rebooted& I don't know which reboot option to choice

There are a few reboot options. The first reboot is to start a pc normally. The second is Safe mode. Another is Safe mode with Networking. and another is Safe mode with command prompt. Use Safe Mode to do minor adjustments or repairs, or virus scans while connected with the Internet with Networking option. DO not use Safe mode with command prompt unless you know what you are doing!

To start your computer normally you must choose either of that options but the only thing you must choose is the start windows normally so that all the settings from the previous working settings will be applied in your windows start up.

Start up

try starting the computer normally, this usually happens if you computers power was cut while booting up, its just a small harmless glitch.  As for the returning back to the prompt try running it with command prompt. when you get to the command prompt, type (chkdsk) and let it run this might also fix any other problems that you are not seeing.
