SOURCE: Replacement Parts For Vintage Magic Chef stove

You probably have a 1940's model of Magic Chef. Check for the model number under the lid of the cook top on the upper right hand side of the stove. It should have the model number and the serial number, too. You will need both. The Old Applicance Club run by Jack Santoro is the place to go along with a site called "Antique gas stoves"in Georgia. Good luck with the world of vintage stoves.

SOURCE: Stove top radiant heat burners don't regulate properly

We also have the same problem with the JS968SOK1SS and it is driving the wife crazy since it ruins many recipes that call for even heat.
As she said "It is crazy her electric skillet regulates heat better than her GE range"
I've been telling her Gas is the way. Has anyone found a solution to this problem or is that to be expected of Electric ranges?

Kitchenaid electric stove burner stays on high

The dials you mentioned are called infinite switches and if they control, or regulate should i say the amount of power applied to the burner, so those are the parts you need to replace. You can order online or go to a local appliance parts store, just make sure you take your model number with you, not the number in your owners manual but the model off the machine itself.

My coleman stove does not let the propane pass from the hose to the burner. I have determined that the hose is releasing the propane as I can depress the nozzle and get the gas to flow. The stove is clean...

This is a camp stove issue. I fixed it with my tire pump. I opened up all the valves, duck taped the hose to the stove valve and pumped air thru the system. No more blockage. Works like a charm.

Because of the difference in energy between the two gases, the regulator is not all that needs changing.
I'm not sure which 'nozzles' you have but essentially all of the jets' one at each burner, at least one in the oven; probably two if your have a broiler element, need to be replaced.

It isn't a hard job but I suggest you speak to the manufacturer about re-jetting and where to order the parts you need.
