SOURCE: Iron Cleaning

If steam iron clogs from minerals in water, follow use-guide directions for cleaning, or use a commercial iron cleaner. A fine needle in the nozzle hole may open it again. Sometimes "steaming" will remove lint clogging the iron; fill with at least 1/4 cup water, set it to "steam", and hold in the air or set flat on wire rack over heat and moisture resistant surface like counter protective mat. Let steam until empty. Using only distilled water in steam irons helps avoid mineral buildup. Or if you have burned stains or darkness on the bottom you can Heat equal parts of vinegar and salt in small pan rub solution on cooled iron surface to remove dark or burned stains

SOURCE: I have a Black and

Fill the Iron with with 50% vinegar and 50% water and then soak 24 hrs water but keep the water level below the max line. Plug in the iron and set the temp to six and stand your iron on the heel and allow to heat for three min. Now unplug the iron and take it to a sink. Move and hold the variable steam dial in the CLEAN position. There may be some hissing and spitting while cleaning so be careful. Continue to hold the dial in the clean position until all the water has emptied. If necessary rock side to side and back to front to get all the water out. When finished release the steam dial plug in the iron and heat for about three mins to dry out the remaining water and unplug.

How do I clean a not self clean ,quick press s506a , not self cleaning black and decker steam iron

Most steam irons can be cleaned deposits by emptying the water and replacing with white vinegar. Let it heat up and use the iron as normal - but on cloth rags instead of clothing. The vinegar breaks down and dissolves the mineral deposits inside that are responsible for sputtering and stains. You can reduce or even eliminate these deposits from forming by using distilled water instead of tap water in the iron - otherwise - run vinegar thru it when it starts acting up. The vinegar "trick" works great on coffee makers, too.

Get the fabric light to stop blinking and iron

It probably just real slooooooow at heating up. Dishwasher these days take 3 hours not 1 1/2. It\'s just the lame way they build crap in China these days.

How to fix a Black and Decker Iron?

irons are not meant to be fixed due to their construction. the cost is generally more than a new one ( if you could get the parts)
take it to an appliance service centre to determine exactly what is the fault but be prepared for a "new one" answer.
