Try going under file the import then click inport then click you flip in the pop up window

When i import HD video into imovie from my flip flip mino hd cam i get horizontal black bars framing the video.

We have some videos we want to transfer to the computer. We are running Mac OSX with the Leopard software. When I attach the camera, I see the point and shoot icon for a short time and then I hear a beep...


Put the batteries in the camera, then connect via the USB flip connection. The camera will show up on the desktop like a flash drive does. Open it when it shows up. Drill until you find the avi movies and drag them to your desktop. You may have to convert them to quicktime files. If you cannot use the software that came with the camera (it does work), you can import the sections into iMovie.
