Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
Hi....I´ve read all the notes and solutions for how 2 delete a song or all the songs on the sansa e250...But my question still is "How do u delete a song with the Media Player??" Can u do that at all, cuz att the answers 2 that question have not even been related 2 the Windows Media Player..When I try 2 delete a song or more with the WMP version 11, it only sais that "Windows Media Player cannot delete a file from the device."Whats up with dat?? Anyone...
The manual is fraught with errors on the deleting music page - including the fact that it references p.24, when the answer is on p.23 - but it suggests that you can only delete songs from the player itself or from Windows Explorer:
1. In playback mode, press submenu.
2. Select the Delete Song item.
or p.32 for delteing from Windows Explorer
I can think of at least 2 other reasons why you are not able to delete the songs as normal in Windows Media Player:
The hold or lock switch is engaged on the Sansa
The following is an EXTREME solution that I would not reccomend:
try this fix from Microsoft themselves (it is very lengthy - too long to reproduce in full here:
To resolve this problem, clear the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Exit Windows Media Player. 2. For Windows XP:
Click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
For Windows Vista:
Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK. 3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
Note You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder. 4. Restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
