Doesn't work. HI THE LED PANEL DOES NOT LIGHT UP APART FROM A TINY BIT OVER THE EIGHT ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. THE LIGHT'S COME ON WHEN I OPEN THE DOORS BUT NEITHER FRIDGE OR FREEZER WORK\1 I TRIED ALL THE BUTTONS BUT PANEL DOESN'T RESPOND, DOES IT NEED A NEW PANEL? IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOUHAVE AN IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM IS

Back light failure is a common problem in these sets and power supply replacement is not the solution. It is repairable, but may cost you quite a bit. To repair this problem the failed leds have to be replaced and the lcd panel has to be opened apart. That is a delicate and risky job.

The Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive and EcoSmart electronic washing machines are equipped with fault detecting software to help easily determine the cause whenever a problem occurs. Not like other electronic washing machines, these ones do not have displays to flash the code, but rather use the eight (8) light-emitting diodes (LED) of the Wash Progress indicators to indicate the fault code. The eight (8) LEDs stands as an 8-bit binary number (zeroes and ones) that must be decoded and then converted to the decimal number system to get the fault code.
The fault code can be decoded by determining which Wash Progress LEDs are lit. Once determined which of the LEDs are lit, write down the 8-bit binary code; 1 for lit LEDs and 0 for the off ones. For example; the final wash, rinse, and spin LEDs are lit; the binary code is 00001101. This in turn can be converted to the decimal number system by multiplying each digit with its corresponding place value then adding up the result. From left to right, the place values are 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4 , 2, and 1 respectively. Therefore, the decimal equivalent of 00001101 is 128(0) + 64(0) + 32(0) + 16(0) + 8(1) + 4(1) + 2(0) + 1(1) = 8 + 4 + 1 = 13; the fault code is 13.
My VX8350 broke on the right side too. Actually it cracked and the pieces, 2 if I remember correctly, kind of were just hanging there (in other words I did not loose any pieces of plastic). I did a very careful repair and it has held now for about 1.5 years with no problems and I've even dropped the phone about 4 times or more since the repair.
I used the CA glue, (cyanoacrylate glue or some know it as instant glue). But be careful so you do not glue your hands to the phone. Use VERY LITTLE glue cause it WILL wick into places you do not want it to go. Lastly, you have to index the metal piece in the hinge (use a hefty pair of tweezers) before gluing so the spring with work correctly and hold the phone either open or closed. If you error on the indexing, try to error on the side which will keep your phone tightly closed when closed and just barely short of fully open when open. That way you won't be catching the closed phone on things with it hanging partially open. It doesn' t cause any problems being just a tiny bit short of fully open.
So, open the phone, carefully tilt the two halves to expose the metal hinge, index the hinge, carefully rotate the two halves back to their proper position and carefully test the opening and closing action. If it's good, or good enough, then put the chunk(s) that broke loose back into position and while holding everything in place put a TINY bit of CA on one of the cracks. This should setup very quickly (hence the name instant glue) and if you can still remove your finger from the phone, do so, and put a tiny bit of CA on any other areas or other cracks where the glue did not wick to. Remember to use very little glue for this or you'll be sorry and your phone won't work. If you did this properly, your phone will now open and close like it did before...or very close to it. this case mostly encountered now with in the flat panel television even in other brand, which need thorough troubleshooting. i am hoping that this ideas can help you to fix the problem.first thing to do you will need to open the back cover to access all the board for trouble shooting, there are many things to considered why doesn't turn on but before you go on in trouble shooting let examine first the board look for burnt parts or even PCB foil pattern. and then now turn on your TV then check output voltage at power supply according to its label make sure are all present. if their is a problem with in the output voltage disconnect all the load side then check again, then if you noticed voltage doesn't good unplug the TV then check the filter and the output filter capacitor,use capacitor checker for good reading.aside the parts from power supply you will need to check blown fuse link at control board.
Get a tiny drill bit - (1/16inch ) . Look over the light assembly and drill into the lowest point, making sure you drill only into the lens and not the housing. **** the bit around a little to remove plastic burrs - this should get the water out. You may want to check with your local wrecking yards for a replacement light assembly as yours has a crack, allowing the water in.The water will cause corrosion in the bulb socket, eventually forcing you to replace several bulbs before you'll have to replace the socket.
take apart the phone and take out the mainboard and soak it in isoprophanol to dissolve oxide/corrosion.
use a soft toothbrush to wipe off dissolved oxide.
rinse with plenty of isoprophanol to clean the mainboard properly.
let it dry, mount the phone and it will work again.
I have this problem every year with my car, 1993 buick regal custom, 3.8. What happens is it gets cold, warms up a bit, and ice or snow melts and gets in the door, then it gets cold again and it freezes. I go to unlock and open the door from the outside and this problem arises.
There is a vertical rod on the left side of the drivers side, right side of the passenger side, that gets bent, from trying to open the door when that mechanism is frozen up. Just bend it back, a TINY bit and it will start working.
I got tired of taking my door apart every time it happened so i cut a little "door" in the cover thing, so i can get at that bar.
I also tried coating it in grease and that seems to lessen the frequency.
The internal panel lights work off the left hand side of the side lights and are protected by the 10 amp fuse for this side. I had replaced both stop and tail lights with a heavy duty bulbs and because the left hand side powers the panel lights as well, obviously it was too much for the circuit. The right hand side was okay.
