To program a known frequency into your scanner:
- Power the scanner ON
- Press the E/PGM key
- Enter the number of the channel to be programmed
- Press HOLD
- Enter the frequency, including decimal point
- Press E/PGM to store the data in the scanner's memory

To continue programming, press the up or down arrow to advance to the next channel.

Press HOLD or SCAN to exit the programming mode.

More detailed programming instructions are in the factory operating manual which you can download and print, at no cost, here:

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Where do i get a list of channels, codes or freguencies from so i can reprogram my scanner

There are several websites and books you can buy. I would try 'radio reference DOT com' for your state. Realize that your scanner CANNOT do DIGITAL, so if there is a digital system in your city/county/parish, your radio will not work. It will however still work on weather, Skywarn, ham radio frequencies and some more rurual police, fire and businesses.

Lost installiation disc for 6678-A3A Scanner. Is there a progam to download to replace it?

The most important thing in the installation disk was the scanner driver used to communicate between your PC and the scanner. The scanner will not work without the driver. Download the driver from the following link.

Hi, thanks for helping me in the past. However, I need your help to configure my scanner with the Casio TE-4500F my scanner is PSC VS 800 I tried to progam the scanner using the manuf progam book I was...

Has your register been setup for a scanner before? It must have had the scanning PLU file setup by the original programmer as that is the only time the file can be allocated. Then you need to have the I/O setup correctly for the scanner port in the register and you need the scanner to have parameters set to the typical Casio standard, so it is no quick job unless you have done most of this or had it done for you.

I want to know what the frequencies are in the digital range what i mean is,like what a digital freguency is

a digital frequency is normally one that is trunked by a digital trunking system. You will need to know what type of trunking system you have, ie: Motorola type I or II, EDACS standard, or SCAT, or EF Johnson. Each one of these uses a different type of tagging to program its frequencies. Some will allow you to just enter the AFS(agency frequency-subfrequency) It looks like this for example: 03-062 Either or your local radio shack should be able to help you in obtaining what you want.
