What is the initial carburettor adjustment for a mac 120 MCCulloch chainsaw?

Hi williamsc32...
Before you remove or try to adjust your low and high speed jets you should always count the number of turns it takes to lightly seat the idle mixture screw and high speed needle adjusting screws.
Be sure to write the number of turns down on a piece of paper so you will know how many turns from the seated position to open the jets when you go to reinstall them, or if you remove them for cleaning or replacement.
If you have aready tried to adjust them then the adjustments below should get it running for you for final adjustment when warm.
Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.
Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.
The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm.
Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.
Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.

Need intructions on carberator adjustments for mac-3514 35cc/cm3 runs but hard to start after using it for few minutes.

There is a low speed jet and high speed. Low speed sets the idle or stays running without feathering the throttle./// When setting high speed, hold the throttle wide open until engine revs high, then turn back in(at least ¼ turn) to slow the engine which in turn gives the engine more gas and runs cooler. If you have it too lean on the high speed, it will be hot and hard to start. Sometimes using 40 to 1 mix helps with starting, especially on older chainsaw. good luck

How do you yune a muculloch mac 110 chainsaw

There should be a small screw near carburetor Labeled L and one H. Set the L or low jet first by screwing it in slowly until the engine drops RPM then start screwing it back out until it quits gaining rpms then screw it back in one half turn. Be careful on the high jet as it requires you to hold the throttle wide open. Do the same proceedure as low. Screw it in till drop them out till the RPM is maxed out then back in a half a turn. Try reving the engine several times and it shouldn't hesitate. If it does, open the H valve a small amount. Go back to idle after adjusting H valve and make sure the engine still idles smoothly or you'll need to re-adjust it again. After it's running well then adjust idle speed. Should be set a little fast but not enough that the chain turns while idling.

I would like to know how to adjust the carburator of McCulloch 3516 chainsaw 35cc/cm 46759-77

the carbuator has two 2 adjusting screws on it.one is high side and the other is low side.start by turnig them both in until they touch bottom.now turn them both out 1 1/2 turns.this should start and run saw.throttle saw up to full throttle and adjust high side in until you get the best RPM out of saw.do not adjust high side any less then 7/8 turn out from bottom.if you do you will burn saw up from to lean burn.once the high sie is set now adjust low side until the saw will idle by it's self.let me know if this helped you.......
