I have item above. software is not compatible with windows 7. is there other software I can download?

Maybe. Do a google search for a Driver for Windows 7 specifying make and model of your digital camera.
Also you coulld try to install driver using Compatibility Mode.
Click on your current driver's setup file with right button, select Properties, look for cmpatiblity and select the Windows version of driver. Tri procedur might work sometimes.
i.e.: I use a driver for Windows 2000 in compatibility mode with my it works flawlessly for Windows XP. When tried for first time, apparently it was not compatible with windows XP.

Download the driver for the camera. You can find it in the website of compaq. Just provide the site with the needed information so that you can get the right driver for your camera. Choose the driver which is compatible with your current operating system.

I cannot install my web camera

Is that a Desktop or Laptop webcam?

If its a Desktop, you need to check if the Driver is compatible with your current Operating System. In example Windows 7, it doesn't matter what Windows 7 you have installed on you PC you just need to check if its Windows 7 32bit or 64bit.

If its Laptop most likely you can just download the driver on the manufacturers website and from there you can search for the correct driver of the webcam and if happens that the driver you download is not working most likely the webcam is already faulty and you have to call the manufacturer and have it service, if the machine is still in warranty.

We cant install the driver

This usually arises when you have a camera that comes preset with a driver that is not compatible with your current operating system. For example a very old camera that comes with a windows xp driver that is not compatible with a windows like windows 7.
There are a few ways you can go about this.
Depending on the camera, you can go to the website and download the latest drivers or an update for the driver.
If you can give me the make and model of the camera, i can help you check for it.

Windows 7 driver for an olympus FE-210

Currently, you can't.

Olympus have not yet released a Windows 7 driver and given that it is an ultra low cost model I doubt that they'll be in any rush to do so.

All you can do is to try and find a Windows 7 compatible xD card reader, but given that xD is now an obsolete format that might also prove to be difficult.

The only remaining option will be to install your current driver onto Win7 and try to run it in compatibility mode.

Sorry there's no straightforward/guaranteed fix here, but these issues always arise with an upgrade to a brand new O.S. version and it often takes up to a year to find out which products will be supported on the new O.S. and which ones will be consigned to obselescence.

Incompatibility between canon EOS XTi and windows 7

Your problem is that Canon have not yet released a Windows 7 driver for your camera.

You might be able to run the software you have if you set Windows 7 to "compatibility mode". This makes your current software believe that it's running on a pc using an earlier version of Windows.

Go out to the camera's manufacture web site and check to insure that the camera is compatible with Windows 7, if it is download the latest drivers from their site. A lot of older devices are not compatible with Windows 7 or you just might need newer drivers.
