My dryer is showing A FE code on the display. I cheked the power at the recepticle, it reads 236 VAC. If I turn it off & back on then start it, it seems to work fine. What is this FE code.

Sorry it took awhile to respond, I just found your responce last night in my spam box.

The first time the code came in the dryer had been off for over 12 hours. After using it Sunday the code came back after about 30 minutes, but this time it showed EFE. After turning the dryer the code came back as FE again, I did take it apart and check for any air flow restrictions. Found some lint on the fan and cleaned that, but found no flow restrictions in the vent.

Hi, the FE error code means Temp Control error - Overheating.
Check:

  • venting for restriction
  • thermistor
  • control board
  • cycling thermostat (regular)

How do I fix a fe code problem on a Samsung dryer

According to the Samsung website, here is the description of your problem:

FE
  • The FE code indicates a problem with the power source. Loose or incorrect wiring probably exists where the dryer connects to the power cord, or the power cord is the wrong type. If the dryer is hard-wired, it is possibly improperly wired. These kinds of repairs are dangerous for a novice, so contact an electrician or repair center.

I have a Maytag Neptune electric dryer model # MDE9700AYW and I have a fault code " FE " & the dyer doesn't dry the clothes. What is my problem

Maytag Dryer and FE code means power source "Frequency Error".
Invalid power... you will need a electrican to come out the power is not wired up right.

I would replace the wall receptacle before buying any dryer parts
Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

What does trouble code P 0236 mean?

I have a 2000 3500 with a 6.5. The code 236 is - boost sensor #1 out of range. Usually it is not the sensor itself. In my case it was the vacuum pump had gone bad. No or low vacuum will cause the 236 code to set. Check for vacuum at the wastegate actuator. Disconnect the vac hose going to the diaphram actuator on the wastegate on the turbo and hook up a simple vac gauge with the engine running. Load the engine ( in gear- foot on the brake) If no vacuum check for kinked/broken vacuum line. If line is good you probably have a worn out vac pump. Rebuilt-$75-100. If you have vacuum and actuator doesnt move with change in engine loading then your wastgate/ actuator is bad- stuck or bad diaphram. My truck blew very thick black smoke even up a mild hill. After changing out the vac pump the power is back and no black smoke. Hope this helps you. Have a good one.

I have a Maytag Dryer, (Model #MED57TQ0), which no longer heats up. I have replace the (3) thermostats along with the temperature unit, and have checked the heating coil. It still does not heat up. Any...

This may sould odd but have you verified power at the recepticle of the power cord? If you can only get 110 / 115 VAC across the two power contacts of the recepticle vs 220 / 230 VAC then one of your breakers is tripped and you need to reset them. Also the motor switch controls the heating circuit. If the motor switch has failed the unit will not heat. Lastly there is a very real possibility that you may have a bad timer that is stuck in the air fluff or no heat position via defective internal contacts.

My tumble dryer still spins but there is no hot air coming through, the clothes are coming out as wet as they went in.

A dryer operates on 208 to 240 VAC. Make sure the voltag at the dryer is correct. Check circuit breakers (flip off, then back on) or fuses. Missing one leg of power to the dryer will allow the motor to run on it's 120VAC circuit, but not have the needed 208 to 240 VAC for the heating circuit. Beyond that, no heat can be caused by a failed heater, one of two thermostats, fusable link(s), motor switch, timer or electronic control, sensor or a wiring harness problem. After you verify correct power at dryer recepticle, and still have no heat, I suggest letting a pro help you on this one.

Aims 5000 watt inverter troubleshooting

The amp meter on this unit measures the battery current. So if you have an 8 amp load at 120 vac you will draw more than 80 amps at 12 volts and 40 amps at 24 volts. While this may not explain the 180 amps that you are seeing -- it's possible that the dryer is drawing more than 8 amps.
