Question about Whirlpool MH6141XK Microwave Oven
I just saw this inquiry today, and
while you may have already dealt with this, here is my answer, in case
it might help you or others:
We see and repair this on a regular basis with our $39.95 service. Details are here.
It's a problem caused when the cooktop lights fail or are removed or inserted with the power still on.
They short internally, and the resulting surge damages the control circuit board.
It can affect fan and oven light operation, keeping them from working or leaving them stuck on.
If you prefer to replace your control circuit board, you can order it (part number 8172054, formerly 4359661) for $168.39 plus
shipping from the Pros here.
We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
