Question about Garden

1 Answer

My husband had to trim an interior door for a bedroom, our house is older and none of the sizes they sell at home depot would fit right, it cracked at the bottom of the door, where the inside meets the decorative outside, can we use wood glue to glue it back together? There is no damage on the outside of door at all, just at bottom.

YES YOU CAN,JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE A GOOD BRAND OF GLUE AND THAT IT IS 100% WATER PFOOF OR IT WILL DISINTERGRATE AFTER TIME IF IT GETS WET. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE GLUE WELL IN THE CRACK,DON'T BE AFRAID TO USE A GOOD AMOUNT,THEN SAND ANY OOZING WHEN DRY.

Nokia 2600c-02 insert sim card

I had that problem with transferring my sim card into my new phone too. It's hard to believe (I know!) but not all sim cards are cut to exactly the right size to fit all phones. My husband got mine to fit by carefully shaving or trimming less than 1/8" off around all the edges of the sim card and then it fit just fine :) Please be assured that this trimming does not interfere with the embedded chip at all.

How to raise the value of a home with a basement by a good percentage

If you are trying to sell a house with a basement and want to include rooms in the basement in the advertising their must be a way to exit the house from the basement. for a few thousand dollars now you can add the rooms and raise the value significantly. Egressed windows are windows in a basement large enough to qualify as an exit. You will have to call a concrete cutting contractor and have him cut out the window size. then install the window. now instead of your add saying a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a basement. You can say a 2 leve, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house!

depending on what you are shimming here are a few options. 1. home depot or lowes actually sell different sized shems according to there thickness just ask someone in lumber and they should be able to direct you to them. 2. your guitar picks come in all different thickness's so you can cut and trim them to the size you need to shim whatever your working on.

We have an older model Lennox ac model #HS26-461-P and we are trying to find out what the tonnage is. Can you tell me where to look or if you know what it is will you please tell me?

The answer that (TheMobilian) left couldn't be further from the truth, of offense. So you're saying if you have a 1000 sq ft house with 4 bedrooms you'd have 4.5 tons of cooling? That's insane, the compressor in that system would be shot in about 6 months from short cycling. Their are many factors in sizing equipment, but none of them involve how many bedrooms you have. If you don't know how to calculate load from windows and insulation factor, then you can use the old (1 ton per 500-550 sq ft) that will get you close.

I need extra keys for my Kwikset handleset. Had new keys cut at 2 different stores and none of them work. The keys fit in the lock, but won't turn either way. Original key turns very smoothly.

Hi,
The problem you are having has nothing to do with your lock. Modern key cutting machines are so automated that they do a very poor job in key duplication. I suggest that you find an old hardware store that has an older key machine. Or possibly, it might be cheaper to simply replace the lock set. A new Kwikset keyed entry sells for about $40.00 for a lever handle. Remember to have extra keys cut at the store when you purchase the lock...so you can check the duplicates in the store. I do this at Home Depot regularly. They have a new machine, but with the lock right there, they can manage to cut some duplicates after a few bad ones.

Hope This Helps,

Interior Range Window cracked - How to Replace

It is simple enough not to need a manual.
1- open the door, then pull outwards. The door mounts slide right out.
2- lay flat on a towel on the floor. Remove screws on the inside of the door.
3- remove each piece and layer of the door and glass panels. Set them aside in order so you know how it goes back together
4- replace broken inner glass panel
5- put each piece back together, install screws
6- slide door (mounts) back into their homes on the front of the range

It is surprisingly simple. All you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a bit of patience.

Tip: make sure to clean each glass panel while you have the door apart. Use a razor blade for those stubborn burnt on stains.
