Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can we use Excelstor Gstor as a Slave Drive? If yes, how? What is the jumper setting required?

To configure the hard drive as a slave drive, you need to set a jumper on the hard drive to SL (slave)
The other jumper settings are MA (master) and CS (cable select).

I have changed hard drive to ExcelStor Callisto 80GB, and i can't update windows xp sp1 to sp2

What error-message(s) do you get?

Access http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
and download Windows XP Service Pack 3,
and install it.

You do *NOT* need to install SP2 before installing SP3.

Pin connection for 'master ..slave

I assume these are IDE drives since SATA doesn't require jumper settings. . .You will need to set the primary drive jumper to master[ma] & the secondary drive jumper to slave[sl]. Some systems require dual hdd systems to have both set to the cable select[cs] jumper. Check your motherboard or system manufacturer manual to see which setup your system requires. If you lost the manual most manufacturers have it availablr on their website under the support link. Hope this helps.

Internal 80gb harddrive excelstor j880

Was this 80GB cloned (copied) from an old 30GB disk?

Open Computer Management window doing this:

Start button - settings - control panel - administrative tools - computer management.
In the window that open, on the left hand side pane, expand Storage and click Disk Management. On the left hand side window, lower pane you should see a list of disks. See Disk 0,Basic <disk size>, Online. Do you see the 80GB as disk size? To the right you would see a series of boxes. Probably you see (C:) 30GB NTFS Healthy (system). Do you see to the right of it a box with 50GB (unknown partition)?

If so, you do have a 80GB disk, but only 30GB is a recognized partition by Windows. You can still use the the unknown partition. Post back here if you need instructions.
