F1 error in your whirlpool cabrio indicates bad control and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be a common issue. F1(F68)-Pressure Signal Out-of-Range
I telephoned Whirlpool at 1-800-253-1301. Whirlpool acknowledged the F1 fault and will send a serviceman, free parts and labor, to correct the problem concerning the "famous" F1 fault. This is even for washers out of warranty! This concerns model WTW6600SW2 washers. Be sure to get the authorization code from them so the service person cannot argue about costs.

Error code F1 is caused when the control on your washer is either bad or about to go bad. This is a common issue with Whirlpool Cabrio washers and they are aware of this. I have also seen them replacing the control without any charge, don't really know about the labor charges but they usually won't charge you for the part. Hi, just to let you know - I called 1-800-253-1301 and explained that this is regarding the infamous Cabrio - F1 problem that hundreds of people have complained about all over the internet and apparently is a common problem. The lady (KIM) acknowledged that Whirlpool is having this issue and she immediately scheduled a Service Tech appointment for tomorrow. She confirmed that the service call and any part will be picked up by Whirlpool.

here's the part # W10189966. I guess whirlpool had a recall on the units and revised the control boards. might want to call whirlpool on that. Good luck :)

Your Central Control Unit is most likely the problem. It is the main board in the machine behind the control panel and they have been failing a lot. This is a major problem with the Whirlpool Cabrio and the Kenmore Oasis machines. You will most likely need to call a service technician. People have also called whirlpool and complained and got them to pay for the part. I suggest you try battling with them. The part is faulty.
