I gapped the spark plugs on my 2004 taurus. now there is a hissing sound and it surges when it is trying to idle. what would that be?

It sounds like one or more plugs are not installed tight- if they have gaskets, this is 1/2 turn past "finger tight". If there is no gasket on the plug, it is 1/16th past "finger tight"- of course this assumes that the threads are clean when you put the plugs in.

Otherwise, you may have one or more stripped spark plug threads.

You have to be careful changing plugs on vehicles like this because it is very easy to overtighten them and actually strip the threads out. If you think this happened, my best advice is to find a good mechanic to fix it for you. If you are very handy, there are kits to repair the stripped threads, but you need to think very hard about doing it yourself, because you only get one chance to fix it, and then the repair can be VERY expensive.

My monitor does not turn on when power is turned on. the monitor stays black. my mother board is an asus A7V8X-LA

When we say monitor doesn't turn on you need to check the power cable if it is correctly plug in, Check the monitor cord if it is plug in directly to your motherboard port. Some motherboard have installed external video card once you have install an video card you can plug your monitor cord to the video card.
When the problem is still occur you need to disassemble the unit. The processor have problem it doesn't display. Remove it and clean after that put a thermal paste so that the heat from CPU will absorbed by the heatsink.

It will not go past initializing and it doesn't

Disconnect the power cable or power module from the back of the product
Wait at least 30 seconds, and then plug in the power cable or power module into the electrical wall outlet. Connect the power cable or power module back into the product Turn the product on If the product still does not turn on, plug the product into an electrical wall outlet in another room If the product turns on, a problem exists with the power in the original room. The main cause of this problem is When low-power problems exist, the product display might always read 'Initializing'. Low power is a common problem in many home offices because of the number of electronic devices concentrated in one area

My oil is a thick paste

could be. the oils should not be like a thick paste. what is the color?

if it is black, then it is ok but if it is grayish in color, then it is already mixed with water.
that is a major problem. water and oil should not mix.

could be a broken head gasket.

Matsui MAT 140 MR wont turn on

If you can check the rechargeable batteries try that. If you plug it into a wall socket with the adapter and nothing happens you might have other major problems. Just a little education: when you buy something especially from other countries alway check it before leaving to make sure it works. Unless there is a company that you can send the warranty unit to you may be out of luck. Sorry.

New GARMIN 660 Won't get past the Intro screen

Problem solved: I got through to Tech Support. They suggested a 'hard reset', which solved the problem: Put you finger on the lower right screen while you power up and it will do a hard reset---and it will get past the "loading maps" screen, where it had been stuck.
