Question about RCA L37WD12 37 in. LCD HDTV

I have an RCA 46"

I will look for pinched wires. I have not even opened the cabinet yet, but I will now do so. Is there anything else typical to these models which might go wrong such as a boar wriggling loose from a socket? (kind of like how "re-seating" the memory sticks in a PC sometimes cures memory errors)

The speakers in the set are fine, if I can judge from the fact that they emit the typical low/ambient hiss/static when they are enabled through the menu (the sound one expects from a speaker that works), but there's no sound otherwise. Is there anything else I can check, or is it pretty certain that it is this board you specified?

    Thanks!

The av board for your VID1 and VID2 problem is part number 274703 It is in stock here http://www.ued.net/ued/addItems.do?itemCode=TCE274703
Normally when this board fails there isn't even an indication like the error message you are getting. Yes when you are unable to use your av inputs and you have tried different devices and different cables then that would typically be the av board's fault. Have you tested everything yet with a multimeter or an oscilloscope? Pinched wires are another possibility so look closely before purchasing parts.

For the sound problem the two speaker part numbers are 274663 and 274662
274663 Speaker
RCA 274662
and the other part is 274702 RCA 274702 Audio Amplifier

I've connected my new Sony Blue-Ray Disk Player to my RCA F25645 TV via the three (Red, White, Yellow) composite cables but the screen only says "unusable signal" and will not display the Blue...

The output from the blu-ray is probably component video, where the brightness, blue and red difference signals are the three outputs. Sounds like the TV only has composite video input so won't work. Check the manuals, if you can get a composite signal from the blu-ray then your TV will display it but not high definition. A HD LCD or plasma TV is needed to show the blu-ray films in high definition.

See what connectors you have on TV, easiest way to connect is using RCA or composite. About the sound, connect a surround system to the receiver.

I am having trouble scanning channels for set up to antena box

Hi, this model does not have a digital tuner so you need to do is either connect the antenna box to the antenna in connector in he rear of the TV and set the TV channel to Ch 3 or 4 depending on what your choice is, and the other is to use the video and audio out RCA jacks in the rear of the antenna box and connect to either one of the auxilary connectors located in the rear of the TV(vid1,vid2 etc.)

My samsung lcd tv will only show me black and white when i plug my wii in component 2, how do i make it go back to color?

Your problem may be that you need to select the "AV" input on the HDTV. Samsung HDTVs of late combine the composite video with the green input component video. To use the yellow composite video in the green input port you have to select the proper AV input on the TV which tells the TV to go composite video (yellow) instead of component video (green). Try this, it may work.

Unusable signal is being displayed on television although it is connect to a digital cable box. It gives the same error even when connected to an analog cable box

You will need to have the tuner checked out, try connecting your cable box using the audio/video inputs to your tv(vid1, vid2 etc.)it should give you a normal picture.

I just purchased the RCA model L32HD31R. Everything works fine except that I can't remove the analog channels from the list. I get my signal OTA so no cable or sat issues. I go into the List Menu and they...

I had the same problem and finally sloved it. You have to leave the input channels ( Vid1, Vid2, SVid, Cmpt, HDMI, etc ) in the In Channel List. So push the INPUT button, go to VID1, press Menu, go down to List & Labels then check In Channel list. Do this for all the inputs and then run your Channel search again. I hope this works for you. It did for me.

Celestial HD Digital Television Receiver DVB8800HD

Normally, there are 2 ways to hook these devices up. One is the component cable that has 3 colors, red white and yellow. these color codes match an aux. input on the TV (or vid1 or vid2) You need to change the TV input to whichever you used by the remote or maybe under Ch2 (4,3,2,vid2, vid1, aux,111,110,etc) The other way is to use the round 4-5 pin S-video instead of the yellow jack, that is self explanetory. The 3rd way and this depends on your TV and receiver is to use the HDMI, composite or DVI cable connection. These are only for Hi def players and will be either a large multi-pinned computer type plug, 5 colored/lead "octopus" cable, or a smaller D shaped high density cable with the row of contacts inside the plug. In any case you need to tell the TV which input you are using.
Once you get the TV to show a picture of the receiver, then you autoprogram the receiver with the remote under setup or other menu.
