SOURCE: when a ringtone is bluetoothed to me, it shows file is corrupt

you need to do a master clear on your phone ... you would loose ur pictures and any downloaded stuff, but your wouldn't get that file corrupt error again. Somehow your software probably got a glitch.Try the master clear or the master reset in settings and hopefully as i said this would clear the problem. You can then go ahead and try to bluetooth any files your want to. Sam !

HI,I HAVE JUST GOT ONE OF THESE PHONES,I'VE FOUND THAT ONCE YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE TRACK VIA PC TO MEMORY CARD,GO TO DOCUMENTS AND COPY TO PHONE...WHEN YOU LOOK AT YOR RINGTONES(BY PRESSING THE PHONE BUTTON) ITS SET BY DEFAULT TO 4,SCROLL DOWN AND LOOK FOR YOUR TRACK,IF YOU CANT FIND IT,TRY THE OPTIONS. THEN IT WILL ASK TO BE SET FOR FREINDS/FAMILY ECT,SO SET IT TO WHAT YOU PREFERE,THE GO TO YOUR CONTACTS AND ADD THEM TO THE LIST WITH THAT RINGTONE....SORRY IF THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A BIT PANTS,IF YOU STILL DONT GET IT,I WILL DO IT STEP BY STEP,GOOD LUCK :)

I want to download an app to download songs and ringtones

Method 1:
Transfer the song(s) you want to set as ringtones onto the microSD card either by connecting to pc via USB or using an SD adapter. Next, Tap on the Music Player, open the music list, press the menu button and select PLAY ALL, this will scan your SD card for music/audio files. Once all your songs have been added to the list, select the song you want to set as ringtone and click MENU key, choose SET AS RINGTONE and that will take you to the RIngtone Trimmer, make the ringtone 30 seconds or less, select Trim and you're done.

Method 2:

Root your HTC Hero, create a directory in your C: drive and name it HeroRIngtones, HTC, or whatever and put there all the ringtones you want to be added (30 seconds or less), then open Command Prompt; make sure your device is connected and already visible. Run the following command "adb push directoryname/myringtone.mp3 /system/media/audio/ringtones" and press enter. Do same procedure for all the audio files you want to set as ringtones.

Method 2 is not available for non-root users.

How can i download a free ringtones from the computer using a blue tooth. when my cellphone is panasonicX700

First, you should have a program on your computer that you are giong to use for downloading music. You may install LimeWire for PCs or FrostWire for Mac.

Those programs will allow you to search and download songs. You have to save the downloaded songs into a folder.

Now, in order for you to transfer those songs from the computer to the phone via Bluetooth, your computer should be Bluetooth enabled also.

1. Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
2. Pair up the phone with the computer via Bluetooth.
3. The computer will recognized the phone.
4. Select the song, right-click on it and then select Send
5. Select via Bluetooth and select your phone.

It should transfer after doing those steps.

Good luck and have a great day!

I have a Samsung Rant, received ringtones via bluetooth

I've never received ringtones via bluetooth, but I do know Samsung made it ridiculously hard to customize your ringtones on the Rant. The only way I know of to do it, other than going online on the phone and downloading ringtones there, is to use a site like Myxer to send the songs you want directly to your phone.

How do i use a song that was bluetoothed to me as a ringtone?

As long as you can find it with media finder, click on the tune once then click on options then copy & paste it into your ringtone file. If you can't do it from it's present location have her send it to you again and copy & paste it from the text message. My husband has that cell so I just tried it & I had to do it from the text. Good luck.

LG shine: using my mp3s as ringtones

Make sure the file is mp3 format, 600 kb or smaller, and 30 seconds or less. You can make your own ringtones at the following sites:

www.cellsea.com
www.makeownringtone.com
www.ventones.com
www.myxertone.com

Once you have your ringtones ready, there are many different steps you can follow depending on what you have available on your phone.

1. If you have internet/text messaging: sites like cellsea and myxertone will provide you with instructions.

2. If you have a usb cable: connect your phone making sure it's in Mass Storage Mode. You can do this by going to settings, connection, usb connection mode, mass storage. Open the folder for your phone on your computer. It should be one of the choices of storage when you go to My Computer. Place your ringtones into the Sounds folder. And voila! It should be in the ringtone menu in your phone.

3. If you have a MicroSD memory card: Create a folder on the memory card. Name it anything other than Music (the phone will automatically create a Music folder which can not be used as ringtones). Once you insert your card into your phone, the tunes should come up when you open your ringtone menu!

Hope this helps! Good luck! :)
