Incomplete fonts

I have compaq presario and a ij650 printer. I ran out of ink and placed two new cartridges in the printer. Aligned, cleaned them a couple times. now, when my system prints the "test page" it is a mess with the bottom of the letter and number fonts missing. It worked fine while the ink was being used up. please advise even when you try to align with the arrows half of each "arrow box" is missing. please advise
