Page advance?? Help!

Have the OKI Microline 320 turbo and up to last week if was feeding just fine. Now when I park it, it runs well beyond the paper then when you load it it's going almost to the next page. Using intuit tractor fed checks that are half sheets (per check). How can I reset it to the proper paper feed. It's also set on letter (no half sheet option) and landscape. Thank you in advance

Also it could be a controller issue in the printer, sometimes pulling the main board and replacing it is the only way.

To ensure that it is not a printer problem, grab the service manual here:

http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/14445/Oki_ML%20320%20&%20321%20Turbo.html

Generally, the printer is an idiot, controlled by signals from the software and operating system.

I would suggest you 'delete' the printer through the control panel and the Printers & Faxes folder, make sure the printer is on, then restart your system.

This should force Win to reinstall the driver which is probably corrupt.
Windows likes to poop on itself often.

If it is not recognized (the printer is a good bit older than the OS), then do a manual install again through the control panel's 'Add new hardware' utility and choose the make and model from the Windows list; it will be there.

If the printer is still misbehaving, you may have to reinstall Intuit's program if it is using its own driver.

I try to print and the paper won't advance, prints everything on one line.

The unit needs to be cleaned and vaccuumed, pay carefull attention to the paper feed rollers. You might consider getting a Service Manual for it, if you do here is a link.

Good luck.

I have oki microline 320 elite and printer head jams

In my own experience, Okidata printers have a nasty habit of collecting a lot of paper dust. To start out, I would suggest a really good cleaning, with no paper in the machine, with a can of compressed air. If that does not solve your problem, you might have to replace your feed wheel assembly. Hope this helps!

Installed a new okidata microline 320 turbo dot matrix printer and now the tear/set button does not set the paper where i need it to as my old printer did. How can i change the tear line setting?

Make sur that the paper length is correct in the settings. With paper in the printer hold down the "SHIFT" button then press the "SEL/MENU" button. The "SEL" indicatr will light up. Now press the "PARK" button, a settings page will print. Select your paper length you require by going through the settings, if you press the "LF" button it wil take you through the different groups of settings, the "FF/LOAD" button wil take you through the different items in the groups and the "TEAR" button will change the settings on the different items. To save the new settings hold down the "SHIFT" button and press the "SEL/MENU" button.

Constant jamming recently

Could be 2 things..
First Check close and make sure there are not small bits of paper in the feeding arms rollers etc.. any place paper passes make 100% sure. Second adjust the tension from the feeding arm and make sure the paper path to the printer is clear.

You can also hit it with a few shots of Dustoff

Try downloading and installing an updated driver for your printer.

Here is the driver download page for your printer: MICROLINE 320 TURBO < Drivers & software

Select your operative system, download the file, then run the installer.

Oki Microline 320 turbo alarm light

First, make sure that paper feed switch is set accordingly to the paper path you are using (rear feed, bottom feed or friction). If you make a change, turn the unit off and on.

If it is set correctly, there might be an obstruction on the printer top cover that interferes with the cover sensors. This forces the printer to think that the lid is still open and will signal it as you have described.

The last option will be a damage to the sensors or to the mainboard. This is rare, but if the case, you need a repair center.

Be blessed.

Printer is not advancing the paper

Check your software settings; it sounds like the Oki is getting additional (surplus) line feeds.
