You need to pull it up by hand. While another person is filling the fluid, you need to pump a few times at a time and not let the fluid in the reservoir drain out completely as more air is introduced into the system. Add more, and pump(with your hand) a few times, add more fluid, pump a few times (you get the idea) till the discharge is clear of bubbles. Once cleared of bubbles, lock the slave cylinder nut and you will have to manually pump the pedal again till you build pressure. Hope this helps!
