S1A250V. That is 1 amp, 250v. Be sure it is a 250 volt.

My unit blows its fuse when turned on.

First, make sure you are getting the EXACT size of fuse that is required! Take the original one with you to Radio Shack or an auto parts store to get a replacement. You may need to adjust the ceramic posts so the metal contact fingers are pressing firmly on the inserted plate. You may just need new plates. Order new plates from the company (Vollara is the new name) at 1-800-989-2299 and give the number 16618 as your dealer referral number. The Breeze is no longer being marketed or serviced by the company, but if you can't figure out what's wrong, we may be able to help you. email

My breeze unit blows a fuse when turned on,,,the fuse in the unit

First of all, make sure that the replacement fuse is the EXACT size required. Check to see that all contact points in the machine are pressing firmly on the inserted plate. You may need to turn the white posts to adjust those metal contact fingers, or bend them so they're firmly in place. The plate may be broken or dirty. Order new plates at 1-800-989-2299 (Vollara is the new name of the company.) and give 16618 as the dealer referral number.) Look to see if you can see any obviously loose wires inside, also. If none of this helps, contact us at and perhaps we can help you. The Breeze is no longer being marketed/repaired at Vollara, but we do have some parts and machines in our older stock.

It just quit!! I have changed the fuse but am not sure what size so it may need a fuse of a different size Would love to just have it refurbished

Call Vollara (the new name of EcoQuest) at 800-989-2299. Use number 16618 as your dealer referral number, and ask customer service to tell you your options. If they can't help you (some machines have been refused service because of illegal eBay sales, dealer fraud, etc.) we may be able to advise you further.

Got no power on my alpine xl15, someone told me the rectifier seems to fried and to change it, does anyone know where I might order this part? Thank You, Nemo Kim

Please check the fuse first. Unscrew or unlatch the small knob at the back of the machine and inspect the fuse. Even if it looks OK, you probably should replace it. Be sure to get one that is the EXACT same size, available at an auto parts store. If the fuse was the problem, the new fuse should allow your machine to power up and work well.

Make sure the plates are inserted firmly and correctly into the grooves at the top and bottom, so the fingers press firmly on the screen portion.

If the fan now works, but you aren't detecting any purifier (or hearing the buzz caused by the electricity cycling through the plates) you'll need a new transformer. This sends the power through the contact fingers to the plates. Vollara (formerly Alpine/EcoQuest) no longer makes the XL15. The newer machine is called the Classic. Call customer service and they'll tell you what your options are. 800-989-2299. Use #16618 if you need a referral number.

What type of fuse do you get for a Breeze AT EcoQuest unit?

A buss type fuse is like the glass tubeb with metal ends and just snaps in two clamp type holder. Any automotive store carries them. know what amperage, like 5, 10,15 ,20 etc. The 250 v is the norm. The fuse protects against amperage overload not voltage. They come in tins of assorted or specifc in fives. Good luck

Ecoquest breeze problems

You might want to make sure that the back screen is in the whole way. I had that problem and that fixed it. What size fuse does it take. I am trying to find it. I through it out with a DVD fuse and don't know which was which.

Also make sure the safety interlock switch is properly closed when re-assembled. It's the springloaded switch inside the little notch in the chassis - the small tab on the lint screen should fit in and push that switch closed. If you do it wrong, the unit won't work. You should hear an audible click when the tab closes the switch.
