Friend If you want to use a sound card there is a driver along with it when you buy one. Intalling is easy, just follow instructions prompted by your screen, just agree with its terms and conditions and there you go. If your PC's motherboard has an onboard soundcard you just have to configure it. Go to your computer's start click it, then go to settings and click Control Panel. Inside Control Panel click Sounds and Audio devices, then go to VOLUME, SOUNDS, AUDIO, and VOICE then adjust the volume of each. Remember to plug in your headphone to the right input/output devices.

I hope i have solved your problem!

My speaker and headset doesn't play or no sound

Hello....
No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....

NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just doing FREE service to help everyone affected by this stupidity from Microsoft.

many of us are victim of this “stupid” update, my office has 24 PC/Notebooks and almost all of them got this issue one by one in 4 months time period, I head the tech dept here.

Can't connect headset and webcam

The headset needs to connect to the computer not the camera. There should be a Mic jack on your computer. Usually the headphone and mic jack are next to each other. What kind of computer are you using?

Download audio codec for that. Go to this link:

Download it. When a box appears, Click Run button.
Unplug your headset jack. Try rebooting your computer. Replug your headset jack.

There is no sound

Plug the speakers into the green connector first of all.

Make sure the speakers/amplifier are working on another source.

Since you have the volume control on your systray (it is there, right?), you do have an audio card installed (or integrated one at least).

You might try this forum also to troubleshoot the error message about there being no mixer device:

http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=44823

This has to do with a WinXP WIndows Update perhaps.
