I own an AKAI 14inch colour television "CT14 MN NK 2" but my remote was misplaced & I cant remember the code of the remote to order it. Can you please help me.

I think you can source a universal remote which is now available for all types, used exclusively only for tv. if possible you will have to carry your set to the electronic spares store to test the remote for the rightt type or if the store can sell one which can be repplaced if it does not work, you can get the type used for Akai model and they are cheap too..... Hope this helps?

I have Sony PictureTel TV but I cant watch more than 13 programs. Remote controler is original and I still cant go up to 13 chanels... :-(

If you have the Sony remote go into the customer menu and select either setup or the part that determines if you have the set in the AIR or CABLE band.

In the air band the set is only going to get the first 2-13 channels.

Once you find it use the remote to select cable or CATV--(same thing).

Once it shows you are in the CATV mode(I presume you have cable etc) if you still do not get any channels above 13 look for the AUTOPROGRAM FEATURE and engage it with the remote==the set will scan thru and pick up all the available channels.

The remote control is not working no matter what I do

If your tv brand is not listed most univeral remotes have a manual code search. You should go through that mode. May take a long time to find the code. If this doesn't work u may have to find a different universal remote
