Question about Intertherm Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I have a mobile home furnace and I have no manual. I think it needs a filter but I can't tell where it is supposed to go or what kind of filter I should use. Is there a diagram available I could look at? The furnace is tall and is natural gas with louvers on the upper part. It is an Intertherm furnace that uses a cut to fit Nordyne filter. Thank you!

The filter is usually located in the door or front cover. If you have trouble finding material you can measure opening and get one or more 1 inch thick high effiency filter. You can set these filters on their sides or upright,it really does't matter as long as you have direction of air flow going the right way. Arrows pointing into blower compartment. I have taken two or more filters and duct taped them together to get the right size. Not pretty, but it works.Hope this helps. Thanks

How do I change the filter that my thermostat is telling me needs replacing?

Your air conditioner uses the furnace blower to circulate air. The filter to be changed is the one in the furnace.

Question about efficiency of a colman electric furnace 3500A816. In a mobile home built in 1997.

Is this your main heating system for the mobile home? I hope these other solutions mentioned help but I would think you have to replace it since it is a 1997. Mobile homes get cold I wouldn't trust it if it does it again.

I have a intertherm furnace and need to know how to tell the proper filter size this is a mobile home

The best thing to do is buy a washable horsehair filter from home depot and cut it to fit. They are green in color and you cut any size you want. They slide in the door of a gas furnace or along each side of the A coil in an electric furnace. That is your best bet. Most of the time the furnaces comes witha washable filter and it is thrown away after afeew times. Rus
