Panasonic Dimension 4 Microwave- Model NN D801. Whilst microwaving for 2 mins on high - heard a zapping noise. Didnt heat food. Front operating panel works. turntable still works. Any suggestions?

A "zapping noise" usually indicates a problem in the high voltage circuit. If it's an inverter oven, it should have provided you with a fault code. If a non-inverter, the most likely causes are a shorted high voltage rectifier or bad magnetron. But there are many other possible causes.

Why does the 1.3A fuse keep blowing on the power board of a Panasonic NE1856 microwave oven.

most likely a defective component (capacitor, or resistor, relay, etc.) is drawing more than 1.3A (ampere).

Microwave shows H98 problem. How can we solve it.

H97, H98 and H99 appears in display window a short time alter start key is pressed and no microwave oscillation.

NOTE:

DO NOT try to REPAIR this Inverter Power Supply (U) and also DO NOT RE-ADJUST PRESET VOLUME on the board. It is very dangerous to repair or adjust without sufficient test equipment because this circuit handles very high voltage and very large current. Off alignment or inverter board operation is dangerous. Operating a misaligned inverter circuit is dangerous due to the very high voltage and current that is produced by this board. Defective boards must be replaced with a new one.

I have a panasonic slimline combi NN A554W which was not cheap. worked well until this week. put timer on to microwave and it goes down 5 secs then turns of. A clicking noise can be heard. Clock working....

, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Some connectors on the relays may have a lock:

positivelock.jpg
See if this describes what's happening:
  • Put in time, push start and unit runs for 2 seconds, relay clicks, unit goes off. Cook time on display goes off and clock time comes back. Bad upper interlock switch and charred connector
If so, see http://www.microwavedisplay.com/safety.txt , http://www.microwavedisplay.com/disassembly.txt and http://www.microwavedisplay.com/doorsw.txt

Otherwise, if the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

That may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

NE1856 Microwave

error 81 message is usually a fault in a relay....found on the LV transformer located beneath the noise filter....(noise filter is a ciarcuit board mounted to one side, should see 2x 10a fuses on it and a small 1.25A)...underneath, a circuit board...thats the lv transformer assy.
Check the 10A fuses first....if they are ok, change the entire transfromer assy.....easy enough to do, the part number is A692M3310GP

Hope this helps

Panasonic NE1856 microwave. Located in small food shop. F3 fuse blows after 1/2 day of use. Fuse does not blow straight away. Have checked all the door switches.

It may be a failing high voltage transformer, or some models have a voltage selector on the back, and if it's not set to match the measured line voltage level at the outlet, that can cause fuse blows.

The service manual for this UK model is available for purchase / download online. You can check these Google search results.

(NOTE: Those links are not mine and I do not have this manual for sale. If I had it, I would offer it to you at no charge)

If you decide to buy the service manual and will send me at least the schematic page, I can probably tell you what's wrong or what I most strongly suspect after seeing the overall circuit.

Feel free to contact me directly for more information & help.
