Question about Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
Have you removed the cartridges and reinstalled them? is the message saying both black and color are not recognized? I have seen many posts at many sites about this problem with the iP600, so this seems to be a defect in the models design, the message means the printer can't read the ink level in one or both cartridges, this can be a cartridge problem or a sensor circuit issue, no one thing has been found that fixed it every time. I would suggest you go tot he Canon support site and download the latest drivers for the printer, this would eliminate a software defect causing this, here is a link to the Driver at Canon.
