For a temporary fix just press the LOCKOUT key while the scanner is stopped on the noisy channel. For a more permanent fix you can program 000.0000 into the channel, effectively deleting the programmed frequency from the scanner's memory.

How do I remove the X from Scanning?

The scanner can only record what it sees.
What you have is a software issue.
If you can not prevent the X from being on the wrist bands in the first place, I would contact Meditech support. to see if the software can be programed to omit it.

The "numbers" to program, like in frequencies? Radio Shack used to have local booklets of frequencies for scanning, you might check with them.

I need a program guide.

Go to radio shack site. There is probably a manual you can download if you search the site. The catalog number for the scanner is 20-427. you can search by that number if the model number does not work.
