You will have to consider the possibility the flood float is activated or the wash arms are simply clogged.

I will look at the details of ADP952 ( i picked this model number from your response to another consultant) and confirm what flashing rinse light means.

I am sorry, but I was expecting to hear from you about the state of the wash arms and the float switch at the base of the dishwasher.

This is the standard maintenance instructions contained in the user manual.

If you do not have a user manual then let me know and I can suggest a download.

Unfortunately, it is very hard to make a firm judement about the nature of the fault based on a one line description of the fault. So one has to go through the stages of ascertaining facts.

I hope we can solve the problem for you but you will have to give some feedback about the nature of the problem.

Sorry it is taking a bit longer to find the real problem for your dishwasher.

Some models do not have enough information to help customers with a fix unless one is a company technician.

However, I will keep trying. Please confirm if the front panel of your dishwasher looks like the one shown here. There is no "rinse" light on this. You have either a "pre rinse" or a "rinse-aid" light.

Please confirm which one of these is flashing. Also please check what happens if you press the START button for about 5-6 secs.

Why doesn't it go past the "pre-rinse" stage?

I would say that there's a very high probability that the heater in the machine has failed. It does the cold pre-rinse but when it gos to the next stage and tries to engage the water heater it detects an open circuit and faults out. You will find replacement heaters on eBay and probably videos on how to replace on YouTube

I am trying to start a cyle and everytime i push the cycle button it does not light up and the quick rinse button comes on and flashes nothing works at all if i push heavy wash it comes on and nothing...

You haven't told me how many times the light flashes, but I will take a guess that this is an error code associated with the water entering the machine being too cool. I believe the machine expects the water to enter at 110 degrees F (43 Degrees C).

To clear the error, press "Heated Dry" then release, then press "Normal Wash" then release and repeat this sequence until all the lights on the machine go solid green. Once this happens, hit ""Cancel" and the machine will reset.

The fix for the root of the problem is to increase the temperature of the incoming water in future (Turn up your water heater temperature a little)

I have exactly the same problem. I am currently getting around the issue by letting the machine do the washing then at the end of that cycle do a manual rinse cycle.

I have a quite partner 2 and it is stuck on the clean cycle and the light is blinking on and off. It will not work when I push any other buttons.

whirlpool dishwashers sense the water temperature in them the clean light flashing 7 times means either the heater element is not working or the water temperature going into the unit is to cold, start the water at the sink before starting the dishwasher now to get rid of the flashing light press the hi temp wash button and then the sani rinse button press one then the other over and over until all the lights come on it will then go in to a test mode when it completes the flashing light will go out that will solve your problem

The 3 buttons

button selection : To select an option press the button and you will see a light come on above the button. Press again to cancel and the light will go out. You cannot alter the options once the machine is running. Note : remember to cancel buttons after use!

As you look at the machine
Left hand button... Rinse Hold.. use this option to Help reduce creasing of delicate or synthetic fabrics by holding clothes in the final rinse water. The rinse hold light will flash to indicate that the programme is holding final rinse water. Complete the final spin by pressing the Rinse Hold button when light is flashing.
This is not available with Wool or Spin only programmes.

Middle Button.... Energy Save... use this option to save money and time on lightly soiled loads. This is not available with the Quick Wash, Rinse and Spin, or Spin Only programmes.

Right Hand Button .... Super Rinse... use this option for Large Wash loads and items for young children or people with sensitive skin. This option increases the water level for the first two rinses. This is not available with Cold Wash, Rinse and Spin or Spin Only programmes.

Copied from my Hotpoint FEW12 user instruction sheet.
Hope it helps.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
