You should not have any problem installing this yourself. IF you do have issues with it, you can access several resources and avenues on the HP website.

I just have a question about the use of what you are printing. A toner style printer puts down a toner image on the paper and the fuser bakes it on the paper. It would not be wet and the paper should be warm when it comes out of the printer. So if meets these things and it is still smearing, you might have a different problem.
Usually when the fuser fails, the printer wont work and you get an error message. Also be ready for a mess when you start working on these. The toner gets all over the place..
