Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDP01IL - Multiple Color Built-In Dishwasher

1 Answer

The dishes have recently started coming out of the dishwasher with a nasty film...it looks like they are not clean. There is no standing water - we've added more fluid to the rinse cycle. They still look dirty.

Hi
The first that you should check is the water inlet valve, try to clean the inlet and the water line going to the unit. After this if the problem is not solved then you have to take the unit apart to clean the spray arm, wash arm...you can clean their holes. Hope this helps...for further assistance you can post back.

It' no longer cleaning my dishes

hello,

If your dishes are coming out of the dishwasher covered by a removable dirty film, your water may not be hot enough, or you could be using an inferior brand of automatic dishwashing detergent. If you have tested your hot water and find it is between 140 degrees and 160 degrees Fahrenheit, consider how long it takes for the hot water to reach the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. If the hot water has to travel a long distance to reach the dishwasher, chances are the water filling the dishwasher starts out cold. To alleviate this problem, run the hot water nearest to your dishwasher until the water coming out is hot. This will guarantee the water filling the dishwasher is as hot as it should be to properly clean dirty dishes.

To remove this type of film from dirty dishes, after running the dishes through a basic rinse cycle, set a bowl filled with a cup or two of white vinegar on the lowest rack of the dishwasher. Remove any metal pans or utensils, and with the vinegar on the bottom rack, wash the dishes as usual. Dirty dishes that were once covered in film should come out squeaky clean

thanks.

Dishes not clean. Glasses have a film on them. even on the long cycles dishes don't come clean. Did add salt and rinse solution which helped a little.

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

A white nasty film on the dishes after washing

Check to make sure there are no bits or trash or paper around the bottom parts of your dishwasher. Place a bowl of vinegar on the bottom rack of your empty dishwasher. Run your dishwasher through a complete cycle.

Dishes are not coming out fully clean

first if the pump is running and you can hear it washing it should clean now hot water cleans dishes not the washer the hotter the better at least 130-135 degrees modern dish washers use less water than older models so if you don't get the water as hot as you can stand it at the sink before you turn the washer on you can fill it with cold water second its important that you use jet dry and if your dishes aren't dry at the end of the cycle then on most washers you can turn the disp up for more hope that helps let me know
