Question about BenQ (200NSH-LAMP) Projector Lamp for PB6100, PB620

Mainboard of PB6200

Hello,
I have a little different problem on my PB6200. My warranty has expired 3 weeks ago. Yeah... it always happens this way. :(
My PB6200 does not detect any type of signal. And I can't get into the menu either by the remote or by the button on the machine. Only the power button and source button (I see the icons on the screen) still work. I think it's a problem of the mainboard.

Where did you get the mainboard? Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking for a mainboard too. Just last week one of the PLL clock multipliers wacked-out and overclocked one of the DLP ICs. (confirmed by O-scope and service manual). Guess they timed the warranty just right before the units start to die.

I have a sharp xr-10x projector and last year we put in a replacement bulb and it's worked great. About a week ago we started having a problem. When I power up the projector it shows the light for split...

The bulb is trying to light but fails.
I would suggest you remove the bulb and check the connections are ok.
Make sure when you put it back it is in firmly.
Also while you are at it check and clean all the filters as they are often forgotten.

Sony, SXRD Projection TVKDS-55A2000 Was working fine, then picture vanished. We have red blinking light on front, indicating lamp. I presume that lamp need to be replaced, but TV has only been operating...

Same thing happened on mine, you need to replace the bulb, on our TV I have 2 kids so the TV was always on but lasted 2 and a half years which impressed the warranty people. From what I have heard the average life is about 2 years. I have the same SXRD TV.

I have a green dot on my screen of my JVC HD52G887

Hello. If it resembles a tiny bright green dot, this is most probably a dead pixel. In the troubleshooting guide in the user manual, the manufacturer states that some pixel loss is normal--either they will be gone or permanently "on". If the unit is new(i.e. still under some warranty) talk with the supplier about options--they *may* decide to replace it if the dot is in a particularly annoying location. Be aware though, they won't be under obligation to do so. I own a LCD projector with a few visible pixels--as devices such as these(lcd tv's, projectors, plasma, etc.) age, this type of phenomenon is going to occur. Normally--and this certainly isn't always true, there is a tolerance of 3-9 pixels. Check with the supplier and/or manufacturer for individual specs. Especially if the unit is under warranty!--Hope I successfully assisted you.---Rick

Benq PB6200 projector lamp or other problem

Hi there

I replaced a Mainboard on a BenQ PB6210 just yesterday - had all the same symtoms.

No LED lights coming on but the rest of the buttons has light.

Tried every other component from the lamp to the colourwheel , but the Mainboard replacement fixed it in the end.

You'll be looking at about $95 for the part

LCD

Hi there

Unfortunately you will need the Mainboard replaced.

You could however try and get a price on the part alone. It is very easy and simple to replace.

I have read that OEM compatible LCD Rear Proj bulbs don't typically last as long as the OEM name brands... is this true? I have a Sony Grand WEGA KF-50WE610 I see bulbs w/complete housing units at...

The answer is yes and no. Typically OEM compatible or OEM equivalent lamps last as long as the original, but you have to remember that since it isn't the XL2100u that it's not guaranteed to work the way the OEM lamp does.

Every reseller doesn't use the same specs when they put the lamp and housing together, some of the bulbs aren't always going to be up to the specifications of the OEM, but it will fit in and work.

The best tip I can suggest is to buy a lamp from a store with good warranty, so if something does happen after you bought it, you have some recourse.

My projector Benq pb6200 needs cleaning from the inside how???

I have an Optoma EzPro 737 DLP projector that accumulated dust inside the lens and for ages I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. It cast shadows onto the picture and scattered light outside the edges of the picture. I thought I'd have to dismantle the whole lens assembly (then realised that this is virtually impossible without being an expert). I then stumbled upon a little black rubbery plastic panel on the side of the light path, which unclips. I then realised that the dust had built up on the lens that sits in front of the DMD chip (the thing that makes the picture).

Here's what I did, with the case open and having vaccuumed out all the dusty parts of the projector to avoid making the situation worse:
- Took off the little rubbery panel,
- Removed the lamp from the projector and placed a flashlight inside, shining into the light path (or a mirror directing light from a table lamp above)
- Looking directly into the lens from close up, you should be able to see the particles of dust stuck to the inner lens (with a nice magnified view)
- First tried blowing air into the gap on the side of the light path (I used a balloon pump).
- Next, I poked a piece of thick nylon fishing line into the hole so that it could touch the surface of the inner lens.
- While looking into the lens, I could see the tip of the nylon, then directed it to the largest dust particles and used it to scrape them off (nylon is much softer than glass, so won't scratch the lens).
- This was quite time consuming but I got rid of the most obvious bits.

I'm not sure how different this would be for another model of projector - but I hope it helps!

KF 42WE610 turns on for two seconds, then goes black

no, had the same problem. Its the lamp ballast also called the lamp power block. It supplies power to the lamp, any how some repair shop wanted $450 to fix it, so i ordered the part from sony, part #146879816 ($116.25), trust me this is the part I double checked with many different places. Any how fixed it my self took about 15 minutes, just take the back cover off and the part is right there just kind of follow the screws and the 3 wires, super easy job, I suggest you replace the bulb at the same time, dont by a cheap bulb just get it from sony
