I would look on ebay. A problem you might encounter is that all drives contain spots that can't be written to and each drive has these spots listed in the original circuit. So, if you use a board from another drive, you can imagine that it will be trying to read your drive like it would have read the original drive. You might want to research this more as I am remembering this info from research I did quite a while ago. My memory is a little foggy on it.

Replace hard drive?

If you're asking how it's a very simple process and you can find many instructional videos on YouTube. You just need to buy a compatable drive, open your computer, disconnect the drive cable from the old hard drive, remove the screws holding the old drive in place and reverse the process to install the new one. You'll need to copy your old data over using an appropriate copy cable first if your old drive isn't dead or re-install an operating system and your files after the upgrade.

My emachines hardrive keeps shutting down. It gets to the point were it says windows now loading but then it turns off. This goes on and on

Without knowing your computer knowledge, I would have to say that you should try the drive in another computer. this will give you some indication of the health of your HDD. If it works in the new location you should run a Virus/Malware scan on the drive. (Do this while still in the new location). Good luck- Hard drives are expensive at the moment.

I am having frequent BSOD and also flash/shockwave player problems.. what to do ???

I can only assume that you have added some new hardware to your system recently. BSOD is usually an indication of a hardware conflict, caused by new hardware, Remove any new hardware and try again, BSOD can have other causes although hardware is the most common. Hope this helps.

Which one's the most preferred hard disk to get for a PC the internal one or the external one.

Most external drives run on USB 2.0 these days and internal ones connect to your SATA connection on your motherboard. Therefore the SATA is much faster so if transfer speed is your concern go with the internal.

I just got a new hard drive (SATA) and I need to know how to transfer everything from the old one over to the new one.

You can check with the new hard drive maker for software that will image the old drive onto the new one if thats what you want.

An imaged drive will behave just like the original drive. If you dont want to go through the hastle of reloading your OS onto the new drive this is the way to go.

If the drive manufacturer has nothing for you look for Symantec's program Ghost online.

Good luck and be careful!
