Hi,

This is a common problem with Samsung and Hitachi HDTV LCD. The events you mentioned are highly suggestive of ' Bad light engine '. You should have contacted the Samsung while you had red pixels. The cost of light engine is really high as compared to cost of the product. There are brands like Sony and Phillips who are offering free replacements for few models. In this situation, you are left with 3 options :-

1. If it is under warranty, get it replaced. Unless, call them and express your concern and see, if Samsung could replace it cheaply or offer you some discount or offer extended warranty.

2. You could see for independent shops who have links with companies who could refurnish the light engine. The cost in this case for the part would be around $350 + Labor + trip charges ( if any ).Other than this, you could look on craiglist, if someone is dumping the TV for around $100 - $200 with correct light engine. You could buy and swap the light engine. You could also look for salvage yards to find a broken TV ( Obviously same model ) and then swap the parts.

3. You could invest in new TV.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The pixels in the screen are commanded by a buffer board . This board connects to the screen with the help of a wide flat connector - in your case this command circuit appears to be faulty: either the buffer circuit is failing and the entire buffer board will have to be replaced ($250 part and labor from a pro) or the connection itself appears to be slightly out of line so when heated the contact is lost and the pixels get stuck (in that case the tv will have to be completely dismantled and all the contacts to the plasma panel reseated - $200 in labor).
Ask a quote around and select the cheapest repair shop you can find.

What does it mean by dead cells?

I assume this is related to your LCD monitor.
I think you mean dead pixels. The LCD monitor has tiny pixel elements, one for each red, blue, green color and each one of these colored pixels are turnes on by a transistor. When a transistor fails then the colored pixel it controls does not light up. This is a dead pixel and it shows up as a tiny black dot.
If the screen displays a blue screen, a dead blue pixel will appear as a tiny black dot in the blue screen.
You normally would not notice a few dead pixels unless they are grouped together.

I have my LG LCD flat screen TV, accidentally i bottle of Soda burst on the screen, i wipe it a dried it using a dry cloth, the next morning i have this black spots on my screen, please help

If you are sure its not a stain. then its a dead pixel on your monitor.. sooner or later it will spread out. To be sure if its a dead pixel, run your monitor in different colors, black screen, green, red and blue.. If the spots stays then its dead pixel.. You will be replacing the lcd when time comes that it spreads out.

Thin rose line appear on lhs display

Kind of hard to understand your question but i think ive got it.

I believe your saying a thin red line appears going down or across your display.
And im sorry to say that i belive that your screen has lost some pixels due to a possible
drop, hit, or any other ware and tear, even over time, pixels seem to fade out and die on everything.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/53416219@N00/2110489041/ if its possibly something like that but smaller... I would bet to say it is dead pixels and is un Repairable, unless the Lcd is replaced.

A line of Dead Pixels.

You are right it is a stuck or dead pixel, usually if it is a colred line but not grey it is a stuck pixel at the beginning of the line you can try a utility designed to flash bright colors repetedly over time to see if this will "unstick" it. Also you could have a dry joint on your TCP which would require opening it up to diagnose.
