Ethanol or ethyl alcohol is usaully used for perfumes and/or shaving solutions. I think if its eau de toilette it has 93% alcohol and fillers and eau de parfum it is 88% alcohol and fillers. If you don't want any alcohol content you should try perfume in essential oils.

What kind of sugar or alcohol is in vodka?

Hello,
ethyl alcohol is the type of alcohol in vodka (and all alcoholic drinks)

For centuries potatoes provided the sugar to distill vodka but lately some fruits are used in more modern version.

Is perfume flammable?

Yes, like all ethanol/ alcohol products with at least 50% purity.
It's toxic even at 5%/E5. Ethanol/ Alcohol is a HYDROCARBON. It is C2-H4-HO1 typically. Christian religions have banned it's consumption from the Puritans to Bejamin Franklin's Quakers. Alcohol/ Ethanol was banned in the 1930's in the Usa. Chevy/GMC uses Ethanol/ Alcohol in their E85 flex fuel hydrocarbon cars.

I need a perfume recommendation? My girlfriend uses Dior's Addict and she loves it but she wants to try something new - something that's got the same kind of "edge" that Addict has - any...

I know plenty.
There's 'Midnight Poison' which is also by dior. Really lovely smell.
There's 'Curious' by Britney Spears. I know it doesn't sound particualy classy but it's a gorgeous fragrence.
There's 'Chance' by Chanel.
There's 'Prada' which is a light smells.
And another good one is 'Davidoff Cool Water'.

Hope this helps.

Hi guys! Do you know why does fragrances contain alcohol?

Alcohol makes the fragrance emanate from your skin. Without alcohol, you would be the only person who knew you were wearing any fragrance at all.

What are Eau De Toilette, Eau De Parfum, etc?

These terms refer to the strength of the fragrance, or more specifically, to how much high grade alcohol and/or water has been added to the fragrance oils. Parfum (generally the most concentrated form you can buy) has 15-25% perfume oil dissolved in alcohol. Any mixture with a lower proportion of oil to alcohol is an eau (water).

Eau Fraiche (Usually 3% or less perfume oil)
Eau de Cologne (2 - 5% perfume oil)
Eau de Toilette (4 - 10% perfume oil)
Eau de Parfum (8 - 15% perfume oil)
Soie de Parfum (15 - 18% perfume oil)
PARFUM or Perfume (15 - 25% - also sometimes referred to as extract or extrait)
Perfume oil (15-30% perfume oil in an oil rather than alcohol base)

You may also see the term Parfum de Toilette. Most companies use this term to describe a concentration that is either the same as Eau De Parfum, or between Eau De Parfum and Parfum. Other companies use the term to describe an Eau De Toilette concentration.
To further confuse matters, some companies use different notes, or different proportions of notes, in the different forms of fragrance they offer. In addition, some companies reserve costly fragrance oils for their parfum, and use synthetic substitutes in lighter concentrations.

Toro deck mower problem. Why my mower is using excess fuel?

Carburetor may need adjusting. The fuel you use may have an ethyl alcohol content low enough that the gas stations may not be required to post on the pumps. I know most of our fuel in this area has at least 10 percent ethyl alcohol in it. This makes fuel burn cleaner but you also use alot more fuel.
