How do I set Clock?

Disconnect the microwave from the power source while the power is still out. If the microwave is a built-in, turn off the circuit breaker. Otherwise, unplug the microwave from the wall outlet. This prevents a power surge from damaging the magnetron tube when the power is restored.Turn on the circuit breaker or plug the microwave into the outlet only when you are sure that the power is permanently restored. If there are still storms in the area, the power may be disrupted again. Reset the clock on the microwave. Microwaves vary slightly on how to set the clock, but usually there is a clock button you press. Use the number pad to input the correct time and press the clock button again to set it. Test the microwave by heating some water to ensure that it is still in good operating condition.

I have power to the unit, I checked the fuse - OK - nothing working on unit

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

No power, display is dead. Is there an internal fuse that can be replaced?

Sorry to read about your problem.
It seems your have a general failure in the power control or switch failure on the unit. if you unit has power, and things lite. it is more likely you have a control/switch problem,

Their is no fuse to replace

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response, thanks and good luck

It suddenly will not turn on. The breaker is ok. It is an M-170, about 11 years old.

Have you tried it in a different power outlet?
Or just try some thing else like a lamp or a toaster in that power outlet.

Have a look around the where the power cord goes in. Is there a fuse or something like that you can see?

Apart from that my advice for Microwave Ovens is "No User Serviceable Parts Inside" If you open it up and don't put it back together correctly you can cause yourself serious injury or death. Microwave repair people have a tool to check for microwave leaks after they put it back together. If you got 11 years out of it you have done OK

Treat yourself to a new one. :)

Whirlpool Microwave Model MH3184XP will not power up after power failure

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again. Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.

If not, then you may have a problem is on the control panel, which we repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

Microwave has no power

Is the outlet ok? Can you plug somethng else into the outlet to see if the fuse or breaker controlling the outlet is ok? If there is power at the outlet, unplug the unit and remove the outside cover.
Look for a blown fuse on the motherboard. Replace it with the EXACT value of the original fuse. You can purchase a new fuse at Radio Shack or hardware store or auto parts store. Try powering up the unit again and see if it works now or whether the fuse blows again. If it blows again, the power supply may have been damaged. Was this a power outage or surge? Was anything else in your home affected?
