Question about Samsung YP-U3 MP3 Player
When I plug my Samsung YP-U3 into the USB port of my computer, the computer completely freezes! It acts like the mouse and keyboard are unplugged, because I can't move the cursor, open/close any programs, etc. I experienced this problem earlier but thought I had a solution: it seemed to work OK if I had Windows Media Player open BEFORE I plugged in the MP3 player. Last night, however, it still froze my computer even though WMP was open.
I had to reboot my computer (by holding the power button, because the mouse and keyboard didn't work) about 50 times before it finally unfroze! Now I'm afraid to plug my MP3 in at all! Help!
Get the firmware upgrade from the Samsung website:
But, it sounds like the USB interface on your computer is diverting all of the power to the USB port, and away from the mouse/keyboard slots - you may need to contact your pc manufacturer on that one.
